    air compressor check valve repair?

I have an older wayne air compressor. There are some pics of it in my previous posts. The check valve is leaking pretty bad. Is it in any way able to be cleaned or rebuilt, or repaired in any way. I took it apart and it really doesn't look too bad in there. Can I just clean the gritty surfaces...

    Wilton Vise Restoration idea

I wouldn't bother with the electrolysis. Its cast iron, it just develops surface corrosion that can be removed with a wire wheel. I'd wire wheel the whole thing. Then rattle can it. Then lube it. But think about it, its a vise, it looks like it does now for a reason. Should you even bother...

    air compressor starter

Sorry I worded my response poorly. Thats how the motor lists it, but how does the magnetic starter list it. It just says in the specs for the starter that are posted above that the starter can do 27 amps. Is that number for 110v or 220v? If its for 220v then im good, but if its for 110, then its...

    air compressor starter

My motor draws 16.6 amps at 220v. But does that amperage specification mean 110v or 220v?

    air compressor starter

I need to replace the magnetic starter on my wayne air compressor. Are all mag starters the same? Will any one work with any air compressor. I want to buy a used one off of ebay for my wayne air compressor. Its a really big motor but it says only 3 hp. It is 1ph 240v. It's a late 1960's model...

    Wayne Air Compressor unloader valve

You say that there is no hole in the check valve for the unloader on the older units? I have a hole on my check valve for an unloader. Am I looking at the right hole? Look at the first and second picture, see there is an empty hole where I have removed the existing tubing that went to the...

    Wayne Air Compressor unloader valve

I called up Wayne-Vaughn equipment and I got an answer and a solution from them. They said the part is obsolete and there is nowhere that I can get it. They said to replace the pressure switch with an electronic pressure switch with an unloader built in ($50) and plumb a copper line from the...

    Wayne Air Compressor unloader valve

Thanks for the reply. They look like the same selection that was on the site the other fellow gave me. None of those are in a tee configuration like the one I have. Is there any way I can adapt on of those to work with my setup?

    O2 sensor wrench/socket

Harbor freight has the regular deep socket and the crow foot version. I have the deep one. It cost about $7, works good, I don't use it often so I don't know about its durability.

    Recommend me a code reader

Get the harbor freight one. I have the more expensive one that does everything, it cost like $100 and I use it alot and works very well. They sell a cheaper one for like $25 i think. The harbor freight ones are just fine. Mine even has a built in back light.

    Wayne Air Compressor unloader valve

I actually did come across this site. Since there were no pictures and there were three different choices I didn't know which one and I kept looking. And I sure hope it isn't the one that says "Fits Wayne" and cost $70! I'll give them a call later today. Do you know if it is the one that cost...

    Wayne Air Compressor unloader valve

I just bought an older Wayne (I think its 80 gallon) air compressor. Durring transport the unloader valve on the front of the pump unit got busted . I looked all over online for one but couldn't find the same one. I'm kinda screwed here until I can find a solution. The current unloader valve is...
