Got more than I bargained for

My dad has been keeping an eye out for some old tools for me, mostly been looking for SAE wrenches and 1/2 drive stuff. One of his co-workers rounded up a bit more than I planned on. Wouldn't take a dime for the stuff either. It was 2 five gallon buckets full of assorted tools. I picked out...

Recommend me a Snap Ring Plier

That Lang set looks pretty nice, might need to order one of those. Lots of capability for a decent price.

Super-Exciting News for SK Day!! 9/23 and 9/24

Order 29147. I'm poor right now, but I just had to have the 1/4 drive set 91860, and the oil filter cup set.

    US made Torque wrenches?

CDI makes some nice click type wrenches, used them in an Air Force avionics shop. They were calibrated to some tight specs, 2% mostly.

    real snap on locker?

    That's a sweet orange peel paint job. I have one, it's a good side box, but I don't think it's $200 nice.

What brand Combination Wrenches grace your box?

Proto 500 metric combo set, and the cheap Sears Gearwrenches in SAE and metric. Got a long way to go in building the wrench drawer, need SAE combos, stubbies, flare nut wrenches, and so on.

    A good short 7/16 Wrench

This is handy for working on header bolts - http://www.amazon.com/SK-H1416-16-Inch-2-Inch-Wrench/dp/B0009WRKZ2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405734322&sr=8-1&keywords=sk+h1416. The box end is slim enough to fit between the bolt head and the header primaries.

    Add a car port?

I need some ideas for (possibly) adding on to my garage. I have this nice, large pad, with a small garage on it. I'd like to add a car port, just for some basic shelter for my truck. It would need to handle decent snow load, and high winds. The space is 9 1/2 ft. from the garage wall to the...

    Let's see your toolbox.

Just finished cleaning it up, adding drawer liners, and making space in the garage. Don't have enough tools to take any drawer shots (yet).

For the car detailers out there

I did some pretty heavy correction on Cadillac black raven paint with a PC7424. Took a while, but it's plenty powerful for most polishing work. Good pads (Lake Country) and Meguiars M105/205 compounds did the trick for me. Like others said, it's a good beginner buffer. The 7424 is a great...

    Socket Set

SK 91848, 94549, and 4147. Nice comprehensive sets. You could go to the 91860 for 1/4 drive if you really wanted to. I'd like to see the 1/2 drive #4147 set have some bigger deep sockets, but it's still a nice set for the price.

Oh yeah, I'm getting rid of most of the stickers. I like a couple of them though.

Snagged an old Snap-On box tonight

I've been needing a box for a while, I have tools strung all over my garage. Had been looking for a 36 or 41" rollaway, but I figured this set would be just fine. 1984 Snap-On KR557E and KR537D with the 274B side cab. They're all pretty straight, not much rust. I think I'll just clean up and...

    New from ND

Howdy! I'm originally from Idaho, but the Air Force made ND my home for a while. I enjoy working on my own car/truck, and this forum always has the best tool advice. Figured I'd join up for a looksee.
