So I picked up a 1951 CJ-3A a couple weeks ago. It is a survivor and almost all original. It runs, drives, but does not stop. I plan to restore it somewhat but not a full on restore. I managed to use some dollys and get all three jeeps in the garage with room still at the workbench.

Thanks! We have really come to enjoy it for sure. It does take away from "Jeep/Garage time" occassionally! lol

So, I've been enjoying waterfront living and wheeling the Jeep as much as possible. after this trip I decided to upgrade my front axle shafts to RCV shafts and I had stuck mud under my rear flare lines (cut down oem) that i bit the bullet and ordered/installed nemesis rear liners...

Am I going to regret a 25’ width?

Go as wide and as deep as you can. At 25' you will have to keep the side walls clean so you have room to open doors and/or work. My garage is about the size you are thinking and I keep everything on the back wall with the exception of some cabinets. I park/work on my Jeeps and they are not...

    Uncluttered, spotless garage, sick people

My garage is typically clean in-between projects. It houses my Jeeps and is where I work on them. During a project, and for a while after it will be a mess as I clean up. I prefer organization when I start, so I can find what I need, then stuff is everywhere as I work. At then end, it is all...

I was never a big flat fender fan either until I found Nemesis. So many other variations just look hacked up to me. I wanted to stay as low as possible and still be able to run 35s. Nemesis flares let me do this. It is a big pill to swallow cost-wise, but for their durability, design, and...

Thanks! I used SEM products all the way through: cleaner, adhesion promoter, and vinyl paint top-coat. I am very happy with the results. The JK fenders are Nemesis Notorious front and rear. I really like them, but the color match ordeal was a PITA and took nearly a year and two attempts for...

On a garage related note, I finally got fed up with poor wifi reception. My garage is built like a bunker: block walls with an additional concrete lap siding on the outside! Hardie plank is over this. I ran cat6 from the house to the garage through the breezeway. Once in the attic it was...

I did some more cleanup of the interior on the 95. repainted door panels and installed a new to me dash pad that I also repainted. I also fixed all the heater control cables. Next up… new rear main seal and oil pan gasket.

Flares for the 2013 are back from the second attempt and he did a much better job matching the paint this time! I also installed the newsed cluster from eBay into the 95. Nice to have functioning cluster lights.

Post project cleanup… before after I’m not sure it looks much different. A lot of dirt came up. I have an Orek floor scrubber and it really helps. Some dirt is just ground into the tiles I guess.

Yesterday was a good day. Finished up most of the punch list items and went for a test drive to fill up with gas. No issues. Pictures are at night so it does not do it justice. I took time to compound the old paint with a DA and it turned out pretty good for a first time effort. Still need...

It is coming along. My original concerns regarding space were not necessary. I’ve learned how to maximize the wall hanging capability, and I continue to find ways to hang stuff. The Jeep project is winding up so I can enjoy it until winter when I tear into the axles. We feel lucky to...

More progress… Gas tank is back in with new sender/pump, lines and fuel filter. New exhaust is in from header back. I also got out the broken skid plate bolt and installed the new transmission skid plate with the OME drop kit. I did not like the silver pucks so I have since painted them...

Progress is slow but steady… Frame outside is done now, I’ve started on the gas tank skid plate and have degrease the axles. I also cleaned up the shackles. Painting of all the small metal brackets has begun: fuel filter bracket and skid plate, brake line bracket for rear axle.

Thanks. I’m looking for weird stuff like the spark plug wire organizer that the wires clip in to, and the heat hose clip. I’m also looking for the air box intake that fits between the grill and their air box. I also need the brake line clips that run along the front of the frame on the...
