    Re-wiring my shop

That is how the previous owner did it here on the shop end, except he did the transition in the LB. I didn't read the wires but they were different. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Source for automotive wiring supplies?

I bought almost all of my connectors, heat shrink tubing, breakers, etc from Ebay and all my wire from Del City when I built my car.

    Re-wiring my shop

Yep that would be my luck, because I agree so far I do not like this thing. The knockout in the bottom middle fell out at a size too big for what I need. The breakers seem flimsy when installed, and there really is only one configuration for the BR ground bar and neutral when setting it up as a...

    Re-wiring my shop

I have two questions about my new panel install. #1 I have the panel mounted between two studs plus mounted to 5/8th OSB, also mounted to the studs. Essentially it is a recessed install offset the thickness so that it will be flush when I install the wall covering. I believe code is that the...

    Making a lighting circuit a 3 way

What if you put the second switch in series with the first, so that you only need to run 2 wire? Downside would be that when you leave, you need to turn the light back on locally, then again shut it off at the main switch.

    Re-wiring my shop

Ive been making progress on this project. It took me several weekends to dig out the trench needed to bury the line 24". The gravel driveway was full of filler including bricks, asphalt and field stones. When it wasnt filler, it was solid North Carolina clay. Anyway that is done now it is...

Why are the ground wires cut short?

Nope, not sure and I was wrong... they are 15 amp. The top breaker is for the light (one light switch) and the bottom is for the outlets. Siemens panel, NM wiring throughout. Here are some pictures... I am going to go read the link you shared. IMG_20170819_103438 by Alex Pingel, on Flickr...

Why are the ground wires cut short?

I have a shop that has a 25 amp subpanel with two 10 amp breakers. One breaker connects the lights and the other to the 5-6 110v outlets in the shop. The shop and subsequent wiring are from somewhere between 1975 and 1990 I guess. I bought the property in Feb this year and had the home...

Help - Garage too hot to Work In

Ill save you 100 bucks and the headache of install by confirming this, and adding that a gable fan won't help. 2 weekends ago I installed one, and have noticed it only slows the rise of the temperature and really only works in the first truss area. Here is a shot from my thermal camera with the...
