Filling my own 20lb LP tanks

Yep, I think you're all correct on this. I got to talking with one of the CNC programers today and he said they do it on their farm also. He called his dad and he told him that he bought it from his propane supplier, and they lease the tank from them. Looks like I will be calling my supplier...

Filling my own 20lb LP tanks

Kind of what I figured, but worth asking. I don't want to hardline the grill as I use it in mutiple places throughout the year depending on the weather. Nothing beats grilling in the middle of the winter!

Filling my own 20lb LP tanks

First is it legal? I have a 500lb and I'm tired of paying to have my grill/garage heating tanks filled when I have that big SOB in the yard:bounce: I know if they see any new connections they will want to do a leak test. Anyone ever do this?

    Floor Jack recomendations

I've had my Goodyear 3ton from Sams club for about 7 years. It is the quick pump version, and does a great job on my 3/4 ton Chevy. It rolls great, and like others have mentioned, it hasn't let down on me at all over the years!

Whats the best garage door opener?

I just installed a 3/4hp Chamberlain screw drive and couldn't be happier. The unit is very quiet, and it came with a lot of accessories. It was very simple to program and has a battery backup. Keep an eye on Lowe's adds and you can pick it up for around $175.

    Door operer install thread

I just hung one of these a month ago. They are great! Very quiet, very powerful, and I really like all the acc.'s that come with it. The motion activated lights are nice and the fact that you can turn them on when you need more light when working on the garage....enjoy:beer:

Lights on when opening garage door?

Yep, that's what I'm looking for. The Chamberlain opener allows for different timers for the lights to stay on when the opener is activated, but also lets you turn them on manually for added light when working in the garage.

Lights on when opening garage door?

Thanks for the help guys. I'm debating on using Flours. as they will be turned on and off frequently, but it would be nice to have the higher output since the opener has the option to turn the lights on automatically which is nice since it's in the middle of the garage, directly where the hood...

Lights on when opening garage door?

I thought I read somewhere that there is a product that you can replace your opener light bulbs with to activate other garage lights to come on when the opener is activated. I have (2) 4' T12's that I would like to hang about 3' away from the opener box to give the wife some more security when...

    Garage Condensation...Help is appreciated!

Would this include the propane Buddy Heaters? I have a Big Buddy and it heats the garage nicely, and I've only noticed a small amount of condensation because it is finished all around and now insulation. The Buddy Heaters are made to be run in closed places it says.

    Garage Insulation and Heater

Hmm...I would recommend using the backed insulation, but don't know if you absolutely need it. I'm very curious to see what other say here. I have the same scenario and I heat the garage up to 50-60*'s with just my Big Buddy propane heater, but would like to maintain the heat longer. Our home...

    Garage Insulation and Heater

Great question ssscamaro...I'm in the same situation. I would assume since the builder did the finishing job on the garage (most likely when it was built), that there is no fire wall between the garage and house (so your attic is open to both)? If that is the case then guys, I don't believe he...

    First one to post

Love this section. I will be visiting it everyday as I have limited electrical experience and getting the lights setup is next on the project list. Now if we could only get a "sticky" of the different fluorescent fixtures, ballasts, and K values we would be off and rolling! I love this board!

    Epoxy-coat floor done

Jag, it was a delicate process, which is why I wanted to be on my hands and knees so I could keep an eye on the profile. I will not lie, while using my left hand only, I had less control of it and I would catch a corner here and there of the grinder wheel. This would in turn cause a ratchet etch...

    Epoxy-coat floor done

Almost a month and it's still holding up great. I've dropped plenty of tools and wood on it, with the worst being a hammer off the top of my 8' ladder. It didn't even leave a mark! 2 oil changes have been done, and rolling/dragging the 3ton jack has done nothing to it. During the last oil...
