Torque Wrench needed 350ftlbs min and bi-directional

I am looking for a good 3/4" torque wrench that will click at 350lbs in both directions. I would be great to get a ratcheting one, unless it is just too costly. I guess a breaker bar would be the best to remove the nut, but to put them back on I would need the wrench. While I do not want a HF...

    Remodel - Part I

She needs keep her truck on "her" side of the garage....My garage is also very tight at 19' wall to wall. If she parks her truck real close to the left, it wont be too bad. May want to get a small work cart to bring all of your tools from the left side over to wherever you are working so you...

    110V Heating Choice

I have a 20x20 or so garage that is insulated nicely. I do not need the garage to be 60deg, but in the 50's would not be bad the 1 day a week I will in there for a few hrs. I am not sure if I will have the juice to run a 220v line as I am pretty much going to be close to my limit. When we do our...

    car lifts?

I wonder if you welded a thick plate that is larger than the the current footprint of the pad and then bolted it, would it change the thickness requirement as it spreading the load out over a larger footprint?

    Cabinet Score on Craigslist

They wanted $2,500, I got them for $1,800 with breakdown at their shop and delivery, plus the Kindred 30" SS sink (retail $700). So I will try to sell the sink and the original 90" SS top with the 30" hole already cut, and get a few $$. So overall not too bad.

    Cabinet Score on Craigslist

I got the cabinets delivered last week when I completed the floor. I installed them over the weekend, except for the main SS top, as it is a bit too heavy for just me to lift. I know some of you had mentioned the strength. I am throughly impressed. The entire box is 1/2" 100% cabinet grade...

ok, I'm sold on vct - pattern suggestions? lets see yours

I went with the Black & White Check, with a red border, and grey for the work area. I like the light grey to find dropped parts etc on the floor.

    Here's a variant on sockets I hadn't seen before.

Scuderia Ferrari (The racing team) switched over to Beta from Facom. I still like the Facom stuff.

My shop will be FINISHED TOMORROW!!!

My garage is almost done, and I can't wait to buy / build a shed. Even a 10x8 will help! Lawn mower, snow blower, bikes, garden ****. Of course the wife is all afraid that the bikes will rust in the shed vs the garage. Was this a kit? Looks great, esp the floor!

VCT tile now done. Looks great!

Rem....according to Armstrong Tech group, DO NOT ROLL THE COMMERCIAL TILE! THAT IS THE EXCELON! I did not roll mine and it came out strong and tight. I did have to replace a few tiles. I used a halogen shop light to warm (a hair dryer would work great), warmed it up, and used a wide chisel. I...

I have the 2 liftmaster's. They are great. Very low noise, 1 amp draw, and was not too bad for the guy to install. (note...pic is before painting)

    Garage Fire Suppression System???

In the spray booths we had at Ford, each section (esp in the robotic section) had 4 cameras (1 in each corner). If one camera saw a spark a bell would begin to ring, if 2 cameras saw a spark, the bell would ring and 5 seconds later a high speed deluge system would dump high pressure water and...

After 100's of questions my makeover begins

Got the rest of the floor done this Sat. I am very pleased with the results. The VCT was pretty easy to work with, esp with the tile cutter. Cabinets get delivered on Tuesday, and hope to get elect done next week.

VCT tile now done. Looks great!

Jason...what did you use to "glue" down that Alum edge strip. Where in HD did they have those? Got the rest of my floor down this weekend. Very happy with the results. Now just need to wax it. Did everyone just mop it first to get the dust and dirt off, and then mop the wax on?
