Irish Version of a Welding Table

If that's welder-speak for "looks like lack of fusion", what some welders also call "cold-roll", you may be on to something. But I'm not so sure it's not the picture. It's super hard to tell from the pic. But IF the weld were cold, or there were any lack of fusion, that part of the weld...

    resto-mod vintage Sears air compressor

The replacement pressure gauge is a little bigger than the original 1-1/2" diameter no-name pressure gauge. The new pressure gauge is an Ashcroft, USA , 45-1009-SL-04L-160# stainless gauge with a monsterous 4-1/2" diameter glycerin filled dial that reads (from clear across the garage)...

    resto-mod vintage Sears air compressor

The old electric motor, although restorable, didn't make the cut. It was too heavy, and too inefficient. Picked up this little gem of a motor at Northern Tool. :) Leeson Air Compressor Electric Motor — 2 HP, Model# 116512 http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200306763_200306763...

    resto-mod vintage Sears air compressor

Started rebuilding the manifold. The old pressure gauge did NOT want to come off. It will NOT be joining us for the remainder of the resto. Once the guts of the gauge were demo'ed, an 8-point 9/16 socket did the trick. . . . .

Cman socket organizer has spots for sockets they don't make!?!?!!

I have no information that that was a Craftsman socket size. Do you actually have one of those sockets? All the sockets in the table are USA Craftsman. I'm looking for a 3/4" drive 12pt SAE shallow 2 1/2" socket. Apparently this socket was available in a Craftsman branded set COO Taiwan. I...

Cman socket organizer has spots for sockets they don't make!?!?!!

Here's a list of all modern (1970-forward) Craftsman branded socket sizes 1/4" thru 3/4" drives... Oh, there is one Craftsman socket size NOT on this list. If you can name it, well, I'll be fairly impressed. I don't include it because it's just so rare. 1/4" drive: 06 pt. shallow SAE - 5/32...

    Rattle Can Paint Cure Question

It's about "out-gassing". If you recoat within one hour or after 48 hours then the out-gassing of the curing paint will not affect the subsequent coats. However, if you wait 48 hours and sand do NOT recoat without waiting an additional 48 hours. Sanding causes more out-gassing

Is this tire pressure gauge worth it?

I got this tire inflator for my home garage. STEELMAN (97977) High Accuracy Digital Tire Inflator. Range 0 - 100 PSI (+/- 0.25 percent PSI accuracy). Reads in PSI, Bar, kPa and kg/cm2. It has automatic temperature/pressure compensation. Pretty sure I've increased my gas mileage by 0.013%. At...
