Yes it had a petcock fitting on the bottom. I removed the petcock fitting and replaced it with a much nicer extension and valve to remove the water from the tank. By the way, I can see your gold tank has an identical petcock fitting about 4" lower down than that weird looking weld. IMO that...

You're correct. If you read further down on each page it reads, "Made by Facom for SK."

More Craftsman 1/2" sockets & ratchets...some vintage... some not...

No way in those sizes on the Craftsman. Craftsman never offered those sizes in 1/4" drive. I'm nearly 100% USA Craftsman but those two sizes in 1/4 drive I got from SK. And SK (currently) only offers those sizes (16mm and 5/8") in 6 point shallow.

Yes. If you are looking for a motor-grade cutoff switch for an air compressor you won't find it at HD for $6 or on amazon for $8. I guess it's possible that a $6 switch won't burst into flames...but why risk it. Also, I could NOT find a motor-grade on/off switch with an illuminated toggle...

I use mine for the same tasks. It also comes in handy for blowing the sawdust off skill-saws and whatnot when cleaning up after a job. These blowers got a lot of negative reviews from people who expected too much out of them.
