    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT Steven's Craftsman Space

Found a nice little socket to add to the socket collection. Since Craftsman never offered this size socket in 3/8"-drive, I had to get a (vintage) Snap-on. 5/8" socket in 3/8"-drive 8-point / model F-320.

    resto-mod vintage Sears air compressor

Installed a Husky Extended Tank Drain Valve Assembly on the tank. Husky claims the 11-inch long braided steel hose is good for 175PSI maximum pressure. HD about $19.99 Regular maintenance of the compressor tank is important. Each time the compressor runs, moisture in the air may condense in...

    Craftsman Compressor rebuild

The bottom of the old craftsman tanks had a drain fitting, a petcock, on the bottom. The picture of your gold tank shows a petcock fitting. As far as using the red tank with the setup of the 220 motor and compressor, you would have to compare the specs on the red tank with the specs on the...

    Craftsman Compressor rebuild

Here's my replacement petcock. Thinking about putting a "moisture minder" on it as well.

    Craftsman Compressor rebuild

Yes it had a petcock fitting on the bottom. I removed the petcock fitting and replaced it with a much nicer extension and valve to remove the water from the tank. By the way, I can see your gold tank has an identical petcock fitting about 4" lower down than that weird looking weld. IMO that...

    5/8" and 16mm Deep 1/4" Drive Sockets

No way in those sizes on the Craftsman. Craftsman never offered those sizes in 1/4" drive. I'm nearly 100% USA Craftsman but those two sizes in 1/4 drive I got from SK. And SK (currently) only offers those sizes (16mm and 5/8") in 6 point shallow.

    240 volt 15 amp switch

    240 volt 15 amp switch

Yes. If you are looking for a motor-grade cutoff switch for an air compressor you won't find it at HD for $6 or on amazon for $8. I guess it's possible that a $6 switch won't burst into flames...but why risk it. Also, I could NOT find a motor-grade on/off switch with an illuminated toggle...

    Craftsman 19.2v C3 Fans

I use mine for the same tasks. It also comes in handy for blowing the sawdust off skill-saws and whatnot when cleaning up after a job. These blowers got a lot of negative reviews from people who expected too much out of them.
