A/C in Garage - Added Benefits!

Another benefit is consumable products and chemicals. They last a whole lot longer in a conditioned space. I have noticed that things don't dryout as fast so glues, paints, pretty much anything liquid last so much longer when its not baking in the oven. I guess this would also apply to...

    Impact Bit Holder that...Holds?

I have several of these dewalt ones they come in different lengths. They work awesome and will never let a bit fall off. The locking collar is very strong, I have forgot about it in the past and tried to remove a bit with pliers and it wouldn't come out till I realized it was a locking...

How do you keep Shop hose 20' wide outta the way?

huh, whats a 20' wide hose? do you mean a 20' long hose? what kind of hose? if you're talking shop vac hose I use a plastic garden hose wall hanger to loop my 25' vac hose around. For air and extension cords I prefer the reels which is so much more convenient. If I could find an affordable...

What do you guys use to (shrink) shrink tubing ?

not this exact one but very similar, there are tons of mini heat guns around the $15-20 mark. this is so much easier then using a butane torch, I have never had great success with those usually burning thru the insulation or heat sink since its too hot. These mini heat guns will burn thru...

    Glu-Bot: D'oh moment

These things are awesome, so convenient to use. I also put tire dressing gel in them. so much faster then having to invert the bottle and shake. Also cleaner since you don't get splatter. for some reason my cap doesn't stay on the nub. I guess it has stretched out over the years and just...

Digital Multi Meter-blown fuse question and need help.

hmmm.. maybe the fuze was the wrong type? I have not seen a glass fuse in a multimeter, it usually has the solid ceramic type.

Gorilla Epoxy and door arm screws

you could use a treaded insert and a machine screw. The threaded insert has deep threads so it has a lot of holding power and since the old screw holes are stripped out putting in the larger insert would grab onto solid wood.

    Heavy Duty stapler info

standard staple on the left, heavy duty swingline on the right. its noticeably thicker, you can't use a regular stapler remover to take them out, they are much stronger. You also need the heavy duty stapler, can't use a standard one.

Tool pouch that can be used alone, on a belt, on a shoulder strap, and on a ladder?

The toughbuilt pouches from lowes have been intriguing me lately. https://www.lowes.com/search?searchTerm=toughbuilt+pouch They got a bunch of different styles and are pretty unique. The can operate as belt worn with the detachable clip. You can mount additional clips on things like...

    Air Tank Drain Muffler

muffle it with a bunch of old rags, just clump it around the pipe . does a fantastic job of quieting it down. Don't worry about flow the pressure will just blow out the water, it also doesn't spray like an open pipe. I don't have an automatic, but when I drain my tank manually I put a big...

    Plywood Or Melamine Or...?

I have a double layer of 3/4" MDF for my bench top, has held up well for the past 17 years. Granted its not beated on, but it does hold up well if you seal it. I put on 3 coats of poly and its been great. What I like about MDF is that it is super flat and smooth, you cant get that with...

its a little more expensive but I would recommend plenum not riser. Plenum cables are fire retardant and would be a safer alternative.

    What’s up Snap On?

I bought a bunch of green Talon grips this past year and 3 of them were dirty also, one was worse then yours. But they did clean up easily and look just fine. I think its the oil they use to prevent rusting is just transferring to the handles when they have them stored together. No big deal.

    What is this used for?

Those wires look awefully small what are they 16ga. Seems undersized for such robust twist lock outlets.
