Sounds like you are asking for MAXIMUM stud spacing. I bet that 24 inch center to center spacing will work but in reality, how many studs will you save by doing that instead of 16 inches? More studs will keep your siding panels straighter. And give you more support for whatever you hang on the...

If you really want to be able to wash vehicles indoors, I strongly suggest adding a dedicated space just for that. Waterproof walls, floor sloped to a drain, etc. I can’t imagine a space with shelves or cabinets or workbenches being used once in a while to wash cars.

Misters cool air and metal roofs by evaporative heat loss. They work great in dry climates. South Florida maybe not so well. 😎
