Advice on how to deal with grandparent house clean out

I just went thru this when my father passed about 2 mo. ago. We found a guy that does online auctions, he dealt with the whole mess for a percentage off the top. It seemed a little steep at the time but by listing the items online we got WAY more than we ever thought we would and we didn't...

    OBDII Diagnostic Tool

For what your wanting to do (other than program keys) the Autel is the best bang for your buck. I would consider them a very high end DIY tool. For key programming your going to need factory level scan tools like the Ford IDS or GM Tech II. Neither one is particularly expensive but the...

I have the full set and they are damn good pliers. The only time the reversible plier give me problems is on super duty front hubs so I bought a single non reversible set for those. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Torque wrench left in mid range for long term.

It can damage it but you need to test it. Most tool trucks like snap on have a torque comparator on the truck for testing accuracy Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I want to go metric - anyone other Americans done this

I agree, let's not even start with the pints, quarts and gallons lol. The metric system is so much easier to use and yet I still lay everything out in inches and fractions simply by force of habit. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

What do you all think of this Blue Point upper box?

I had that same top and bottom when I got out of school. It's a damn good box that I had for years till I outgrew it and stepped up to a bigger box. I think it's a fair deal. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Autel MaxiCOM MK808 scan tool

The 908 would probly be a better option for you then but if your gonna drop the coin I would look at a modis edge, the scope will about double your capability. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Autel MaxiCOM MK808 scan tool

The ds808 is gonna be about the best bang for your buck for a home gamer/ light professional. I've got the ds908, a verus and some factory tooling and the autel hangs with the best of them Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Snap Rings

They will do that if the tip don't fit right. A specific application that comes to mind is the axle shaft retainer on Ford super duty trucks. That was the job that sold me on the knipex snap ring set. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Snapon Multimeter question

It "shouldn't" damage anything as long as your within the max rage of the meter even if it is set on a lower scale as your only selecting how the information is displayed not really changing anything on the input side of the meter. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Modis Ultra and Euro questions....

To the best of my knowledge, yes. I see mostly vw here and have never needed an adapter for anything newer than 96. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Anyone here have the ase wave u-scope?

This is a valid point, its definitely more of a supplement to your regular scope. As 80% of the time you will need more than 1 channel. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Anyone here have the ase wave u-scope?

I love mine and use it anytime I don't want to drag out the very. As other have said the software is pretty basic and you have to know your way around a scope since there aren't any guided tests like you get in others. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Modis Ultra and Euro questions....

You won't need any adapters with the newer stuff (1996 and up) but you will for anything older. They make an adapter to use all the older adapters from my classic modis with the new one. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Crows feet

What he said. Don't need them very often but they are damn handy when you do. I seem to use them quite a bit for torquing fasteners that I can't get a torque wrench on directly. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
