    Lets see your workbench

This, though I prefer 1/2" to allow for some additional space in case i need to get my hand around something as well. make sure to set it from both directions if your vice has a rotating base.

How to finished a concrete "room" under my front porch??

i grew up in a house in central MA that dated back to the 1930's that had a similar cold cellar. most of the houses in the neighborhood did, even though they had electricity when built new. we used to keep canned goods on shelves and xmas decorations in ours.

Living in the City, Found a Garage with a Lift! Work in Progress

looks like they never finished the drywall. If that's the case, you get better insulation by unscrewing parts of it and forcing in batt insulation compared to blow in which always seems to settle. might as well add some outlets while you've got the walls open, maybe plumb in some airlines...

    Base boards for shop

get yourself a couple of rolls of 3" rubber cove base and use that. run glue on OSB, bead of caulk on floor and install. works in millions of square feet of commercial warehouse space... no reason it won't work on the personal level. plus a roll is like $100/120lf or less and it's easy as...

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

the left hand placement of that completely screws with my OCD. I would have placed to top to the right to align the smaller drawers.

Re-roofing a metal roof, fall protection?

lift can be used as an anchor point for people working within the lift basket only. It's not safe to tie off to a lift while working outside of the lift. For on roof work, you'll want something similar to this...

    LED Shop lights

I normally grab the $20-35 lithonia strip lights from home depot and use those. They're a contractor grade, and require a hard wiring, but can be looped together on the same circuit.

    What is this?

certainly not a requirement where I live (local FD will come install battery ones and replace them annually if requested by disabled/elderly folks) Requirement is that you have them, preference is for hard wired, though mine are all battery operated (Nest protects).

    20ft container workshop

any sort of typical split system should be possible in a container. You'll find your problem is that it's not insulated. i'd suggest building inner walls and insulating with foam.

$1000 to install a garage door?

FWIW, I purchased my garage door (16x7) installed from home depot direct, you might be better off going that route rather than hiring install out separately. You can even include the opener installed during the order process. Around here home depot contracts the install out to the local guys...

which one? I've built this one: https://www2.familyhandyman.com/workshop/workbench/how-to-build-a-workbench-super-simple-50-bench/view-all While the upper is useful at times, I'm going to be rebuilding mine in modified variation in a few weeks which will not include the upper shelf/pegboard...

    44 Bikes Frame Shop

When I commute now, my bike lives in my office during the day, so it’d be difficult for it to be stolen by anyone other than a coworker. I figure it’s less than a 3rd car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
