I bought a cheap simple garden shed to store all my metal stock and sheet goods. keeps them dry and out of the way but still on the side of the shop.

all mine are wide, no top boxes what so ever. reason.....I can get into my tools by rolling around on my short shop stool and dont have to peer over into drawers and it give me tons of work top space. another hint for you since you stated your military I have never owned any shop or garage so...

For years the only tools I had fit in the saddle bags of my harley. I lived off the bike for 5 years doing rodeo. I will have to post a pic

I think you should examine your own abilities first to determine if you want to take on this project on your own. will you have the reasonable time on your own to get it buttoned up? do you have all the tools to complete the job? do you have the reliable help/labor to accomplish the task...
