Re: $25,000 is my commands (fiancee) approved limit
if I was in your shoes I would have a studio apt over said garage, by the sounds of things it may come in handy.
by the time you rent a trailer, rent the tools, Burn the fuel, buy the mix, bust your ***, and get it set you would be better off finding another project to add on (sidewalk, patio, etc.) and just order a truck and save your back.
I am starting to think I am the only one that still tacks everything up on the garage floor with a simple square.
Too rich for my blood, seems like it would take me an extra day using that monster
smoke and mirrors,
it will only keep the semi honest people out.
besides, I have never seen the point to locking something that you can pick up and walk away with
without seeing the bottom I can only be half sure.
But it appears to be a locking batten board. They were mostly used in older sailing ships and Victorian era yachts. To batten down the galley door or a deck hatch in boats. Victorian era parlor panels used them also to link the panels together...
Re: what did you do in your garage today?
I have the rubber smashed by the washers. the whole truck will all be torn down and grinded and powder coated and truly finished when all my little add ons are complete.
it all comes down to the amount of time and patience you have.
a can of white with some thinner and a wagner power painter and a good buff on the clear
will produce this (after 4 months of daily driving)
The key is elbow grease
