Glad to hear you sprung for the 2k
it is pretty nice to jack it all the way up and sit on a stool when working on it. no need to get it on a bench. just roll a service cart next to you to hold your parts, tools, and cocktail
I would recommend staying away from pavers, they are very high maintenance as compared to stamped concrete and very labor intensive especially on high traffic driveways.
sounds like this may fit your bill

not sure if your planning on a security/camera system but now is the time to kick that around.
also if you plan on a chain/electric hoist or something similar you may want to frame that in and get a plug nearby
I use LED's, take them with me when I move, never have to buy again, cheaper bills and waaaaaay brighter. all kinds of sizes, types and usages out there.
I built a shop for a guy years ago and always liked his set up. he had two tall doors on each end and had smaller doors on each side.
no matter what was going on in the shop there was always a way to get access in or out for anything regardless of what delivery showed up or what projects were...
I use plain ole steel plate. cant hurt it and can do anything on it.
magnetic, can weld, cut, hammer, and even jig on it. hit it with a wire wheel and good as new
I have made anvils and pry bars out of them, also used them for the cutter head on log splitters and used a set for door security bars in an old shop, but since you got them for free I would probably sell them.
I bought the 2k pounder for one reason and it has been a blessing.
after I pull the trans and get out from under the rig I can jack that sucker all the way up and work on it while sitting in my short roller stool.
