    Using a 3 phase compressor in a 1 phase shop?

    use 2 motors of same size and wiring, the driver motor hook to 220 v wires to it and the driven motor, hook the 3rd wire between the 2 motors. Tyhe drive motor makes the 3rd phase for the driven motor. good luck.

    I suggest you use a combination meter base and main disconnect.The main disconnects the entire service from your house and main panel. yes, you will probably need a licensed electrician to do this for you, unless you are qualified to do it.:) good luck.

    A lot of wiring is not kosher ! IF ? You want to run a 120 v outlet from the 220 v outlet. Just rig up a 20 amp screw plug fuse on the hot leg. A old style 2 wire, light bulb socket will work with screw fuses.Don't tell anyone i told you.
