    30 X 42 LED Lights Spacing Recommendation

DTL504 - I've had several conversations with 1000Bulbs about the PLT-90098 fixture. They have been impressively responsive. They instantly fixed the spec sheet to remove the "Die Cast Aluminum Housing" statement. When I asked about surface mounting the housing directly, I'm told it requires...

    Wiring to high bay lights?

Mounting method is not clear from original post, but I think chain mounted fixtures require stranded wire due to potential movement. A solid post or bracket mount could use romex.

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

jpcjguy - None - You'd have to go for an integrated wrap fixture. There might be some obscure 4ft retrofit bulbs out there that are dimmable, but I'm sure they're expensive to the point where you'd be better off buying an integrated wrap.

    Wiring to high bay lights?

I did help Innovate1 with a layout already.

chopper88 - Any one of the three is fine. You really can tweak these things forever.

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

Innovate1 - Since your PDF was exported from a CAD program I could import it into AutoCAD as a vector drawing. Scaled it up to full size. Saved that down to AutoCAD 2014 (Dialux doesn't like AutoCAD 2018-2020). Imported that plan into Dialux. What you did in the small room looks about right...

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

I just grabbed a similar ~12,000 lumen output fixture to the one I posted previously for the layout. Not perfect, but you could do much worse. Click image for larger view Here's the Dialux PDF (link) with mounting location info. I put the fixtures at 13ft since the linked fixture doesn't...

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

Innovate1 - So you really only care about the lighting in the left front section since there will be an RV on the right? 8 of these (link) mounted close to ceiling would put you around 70fc @ 30" workplane. The Honeywell fixtures are ****, but to each his own.

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

Innovate1 - I assume this is a new build. What's the purpose of the 14' ceiling?

chopper88 - I'm not loving the fixture forced into the point. I'd be tempted to experiment with 2 fixtures parallel to the 4.99 wall.

    Light Fixture Layout Collections

chopper88 - You lucked out - I've never been able to use any of the fixture maunfacturer's included with Dialux. What's the purpose of the space?

How many LED shop lights per circuit?

As posted in a prior thread - See result of clear lens on the back wall in this Honeywell shop light customer review picture: Frosted lens will even that out nicely.

How many LED shop lights per circuit?

Next time buy fixtures with frosted lenses = much more even distribution and easier on the eyes.

Cree Recess Can LED Retrofit with Trim...

In general LED fixtures work great in cold temps. The only reason an LED fixture wouldn't is if the LED array and driver are poorly matched = LED starting temp is higher at cold temps, thus driver voltage must be capable of providing that slightly higher starting voltage.

    Light Fixture Layout Collections

boley - I don't worry about windows. I take it you're not interested in workshop level lighting in the trailer area. You'd need 16 fixtures to hit the 90fc area. 3 rows of 4 as you basically have already, then 2 fixtures parallel to front and rear walls centered between existing rows @ about...

    Light Fixture Layout Collections

rxtrom - I would use 12 of the 3-Lamp Strip Lights running parallel to and in between the cars, and cars and walls = 4 rows of 3 fixtures, 2.5ft from parallel walls, 9ft spacing between fixture rows. Impossible for me to comment on your original question without modeling it.
