I want to learn to weld

Some class time with a competent welder would definitely go a long way. I burn more metal in a month than most guys will ever do in their entire life. I have never regretted the time or money spent on training classes early on.

    Brake Drum puller

I score the drum in two spots and hit it with a hammer. A piece breaks out and the drum is off. I'm not spending a lot of time getting some ************* drum off.

Any opinions on the cheap HF $80 welders?

No speculation here they are junk. I know a few guys that bought these along with the **** 90 amp mig units. A waste of money and I have tried them unlike you. This really is an area where you get what you pay for.

Questions on Milwaukee V28 and V18

I found a new 5.0 batt on eBay a while back. I think it was about $150 with shipping from Great Britain. It works great in the grinder. The prices on eBay are crazy every time I looked since.

Questions on Milwaukee V28 and V18

☝️I am interested in all of those items. I did find one 5.0 batt on eBay but no luck buying anymore. The Milwaukee 28 volt is still my favorite lineup.

    Compressor plugs siezed

Best way for me would be a 1" drive ratchet with a socket and maybe a cheater bar. If the plug is chewed up out comes the 60" pipe wrench and a bit of heat from a oxy/acetylene torch.

Made the mistake of trusting the local welding supply place

What was the gas in those brushed aluminum bottles? All the high pressure bottles I have or ever handled were steel.

Busted off a very small bolt

I would take a washer with a hole smaller than the diameter of the bolt and plug weld the hole. Set a nut over the plug weld and weld. Grab a wrench or socket and back it out. If it breaks off repeat the same steps again. I have never failed to get one out this way.

Ten thousand dollar tool box to hold ten dollars worth of tools?

Wow it's no end with your hate for tool trucks. The Milwaukee thread has how many guys, with thousands of dollars worth of red tools most without a scratch on them. They could get by with some HF **** right? Their is a difference in tool truck tools and boxes. Obviously you have no need for the...

    Milwaukee Cordless Ratchet

I have a ton of Milwaukee stuff but the ratchet didn't hold up well for me. Milwaukee was great with the warranty and very easy to deal with. In the end I gave it away and bought the Snap On ratchet. It is bigger but it's a much better tool in my opinion.

    Adjustable Wrenches

Not in every case, many times it the right wrench. While at work I have a small bag that comes out of the truck that has only essential tools for the job and nothing extra. When performing repetitive maintenance on some jobs there are at least a dozen or more fastners that will need adjustments...
