    The Perfect Man Cave

I really like that the "workspace" and "officespace" are shared and connected. I don't see many examples of that on here, where someone builds an office or other more formal space interconnected with their shop space.

    RAD Garage

Re: Rick's Audi Double If you are going to use the ONR, I recommend at least rinsing your car out in the driveway first. Even though it is designed to help lift any contaminants from the paint as you are wiping them off, the less that is on there to start, the better. Pressure wash the car in...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The Scooter Workshop

First you hooked me with your Hibiki 12, then killed me with the Sortimo. I saw that same Tested.com video and have been somewhat obsessed with those organizers ever since. Thanks for the connection on how to get them, my wife won't be as happy as I am about it. Cheers.

    the smithy, my blacksmith shop..

Even though this isn't my kind of thing, it is straight up cool. Don't think that there is anybody on this forum that can't appreciate truly hand made stuff. Really, really awesome.

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

Really awesome video Jack. Thanks for stopping by NWP also. Was funny to see my two favorite forums collide in such a manner.

    Garage door safety sensors

It sounds like the unit got de-programmed so it doesn't know where its start and stop point are. The safety beams only work when the door is closing, not when it opens, so if they weren't functioning properly it would still open. I have one LiftMaster Jackshaft opener that likes to reprogram...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

My favorite thing about this garage is that no matter how many times I look at it, I see something new and creative every time. The simple complexity of it really just blows me away. Its like looking at a really well detailed car, where there isn't one thing that stands out, every individual...

    Garage morph

Cabinets look really good. That has to be my next project. I like how you incorporated your existing box into the design of the cabinets. Gives it a really nice custom look.

How do you guys do it?!?!

It seems that a lot of people draw a line between the shops that are "show-worthy" and those that are "bred for work." I don't see that there has to be a big distinction really. I think that with organization comes not only the ability to unclutter the space and make it look more attractive...

    FireHouse 51

That is awesome Dirk Pitt would be proud of such an endeavor. It is cool ideas like this that I think all of us dream about. We make the most out of our suburban spaces, but something like this really hits home with the idea of a cool space first, and a home second rather than the typical...

New garage project- Costa Mesa, Ca. with Pics

Love the bench top. Wish that I had some old wood around here so I could make something similar.

GARAGE DOOR INSIDE COVERS? Looking to dress up these?

I painted mine. I will try and get a picture when I get home. I painted the flat sections the same color as the walls in the garage, and I painted all of the hardware black so it would be a good accent. It gives it a very custom look, and really keeps with the flow of the garage because it...

    First-Time Homebuyer's Garage 16x29

That space really has a ton of character; so much potential as well. Just make a plan of what you want to do, where you need to start, and stick to it. It is too easy to get caught up in doing little things here and there so you feel like you are making some progress, but sometimes getting the...

    Wall protection ?

I always wanted to use rolled stainless, just tack it down and hit it with scotchbrite to make the surface pattern even.

    removing overspray from roller cabinet?

Clay bar only works on a perfectly smooth surface. If it has a crinkle finish, the clay will just come apart and make it look worse than it currently is. I would try 3M adhesive remover. Either that or Autosmart Tardis. Both are good at removing bonded oil based contaminants.

    Paint for Garage Door Brackets

If the wife wouldn't come home and wonder why we didn't have garage doors, this would have been done already. HA HA HA. I needed to come up with some alternative. I think that I am just going to go with Rust-Oleum and see what I get.

    Paint for Garage Door Brackets

I want to paint all of the hardware attached to my garage door. The rails, brackets, hinges, everything. I know that I could go with a solution like a rattle can, but I don't really want to deal with the insane amount of masking that would be required. What type of paint would I be looking...

Fire House and Garage part II

Absolutely amazing. The whole organic feel of the barn is so different than anything you can achieve here in SoCal. The totally finished, unfinished look really gives it a ton of character.

The 42 Gladiator Cabinets Build Thread!

Man, I wish that I could have gotten my hands on just a few of these cabinets, yet alone 42 of them. That's awesome. Way to think outside the box with all of these.

    Super newb needs advice

I went from a big door and a small door on my old 3-car to two big doors on my current 4 car, and the difference is night and day. Opening a whole wall on sunny days will make it worthwhile in itself, yet alone the ease of parking something in there.
