Wall mount rotating fishing rod racks

Looks like my wife figured out how to log on here :) I've accumulated them since I was a kid, and don't usually sell them once I have them. My kids fish with me as well. Need different rods for halibut, salmon (trolling vs casting/drifting), steelhead, sturgeon, trout, lingcod/rockfish, etc...

    Radnor oxygen regulator popping sound

What causes an oxygen regulator on an oxy/acetylene set to make a popping noise, and the pressure fluctuates with the popping. It’s a Radnor G350-150-540 regulator.

Wall mount rotating fishing rod racks

I’m not the best at remembering to take progress pics, but here’s the finished product. I needed a way to organize and store my fishing rods in my shop, so I built this. Each rack rotates, making it easier to access the rods in the back. 2” angle iron (1/4”) lagged into the sill plate, 1-3/4”...

    Johnson gas forge

Any idea what this Johnson gas forge would be worth? Are they a good forge? It’s run with natural gas, but I assume I could switch it over to run off of propane?

    AGM Batteries

I’m a huge fan of the Northstar AGM’s. I have a pair in my boat that are 9 years old and still going strong. They are isolated so if one fails, the other will still start either the main or kicker motor.

    Scrap steel storage

I found this awhile back and really like the storage rack this guy built in the video. I plan on making one soon.

    Welding helmet and sore eyes

Yep, I mentioned that in my original post that I made sure it was slid to the right (9-13) range 😏 It’s suppose it’s possible running it at 13 is causing the eye strain.

    Welding helmet and sore eyes

It does have grind mode, but you have to hold the button for a bit to get there. A light flashes in that mode, so I know it’s not in grind mode. Plasma is not a separate mode.

    Welding helmet and sore eyes

I’ve finished building my shop, outfitted it with metal working tools, and have gotten back into some welding and fabricating. I purchased a new Lincoln 3350 auto dimming helmet to use with my Miller 252 welder. I have the shade set at 13 (highest it’ll dim, sensitivity right in middle of high...

    Metal bandsaw blades?

I didn’t really have a reason for the Ellis blades other than I assumed they were high quality. My general purpose blade was shot and I needed another today so I ended up buying an Amana 4/6 for some of the heavier stuff I’m cutting. Wanted one in a 10/14 also. They only had that by Bahco...

    Metal bandsaw blades?

Time has come to replace the original blade on my Ellis 1800 bandsaw. Trying to find the exact Ellis replacement blade locally has been in vain. Local shops carry Sandvick, Lennox, and some other name I’m forgetting. I don’t have a lot of experience with, or know that much about the different...

    Ellis 9400 drill press

Yes, the way it comes from the Ellis factory. According to Ellis the newer 9400’s use a Mitsubishi VFD instead, but mechanically everything else is the same.

    Ellis 9400 drill press

I already ordered an Ellis 6” drill vise from a local welding supply. I like the way it floats around the table but still locks things in place. No experience with theirs though, so hoping it works well. https://www.trick-tools.com/common/images/products/large/8237-1.jpg

    Ellis 9400 drill press

I’ve been looking for a used Ellis drill press for awhile to replace my variable speed Powermatic that spins faster than I like for drilling steel. Wasn’t too keen on dropping almost $3800 (with chuck) on a new one though. I just bought a large plate of 1” steel from a guy on Craigslist, and...

    Rotary phase converters

I did think about it, but long term for my shop I think the rotary phase converter would be my best option. Prefer to not have to buy a VFD for each piece of 3 phase equipment I may end up buying.

    Rotary phase converters

Possibly, depending on what size I end up needing, and what you would want for it. Like you said, shipping might be interesting. PM me some pics if you’d like, as well as the specifications, etc.

    Rotary phase converters

Looking at installing a rotary phase converter in my shop so I can power the three phase ironworker I just purchased. This opens up my options for future equipment purchases as well. I received a recommendation from a member on here about a Phase Craft rotary converter, but found that the...

    PB Swiss hex wrenches

To each his own :) It was $40 for the standard size SAE 12 piece set, $35 for the standard size metric set, and $58 for the long SAE 12 piece set. They shipped them free 2 day. Nothing wrong with Wera either. Just saying I’m happy with what I received, they worked great, and I don’t feel...
