Garage Door Not Fitting Tightly in Frame...

can you post some pictures of the track and its mounting? Usually the track is mounted to brackets that have slots in them and allow the track to be adjusted in/out from the door opening.

HF Hydraulic Strut Spring Compressor thoughts...

That is the one and it looks like you can leave the spring compressed. Having done many of these swaps in shops with the Brannick compressors, I'm previously spoiled by that luxury. Sure was nice but hard to justify the price now. I was concerned with the more expensive unit not fitting my...

HF Hydraulic Strut Spring Compressor thoughts...

I have one of these I purchased a few months ago for around $99. I changed 4 struts so far, it works but its not the greatest. It's all bent around the arms but didn't come apart. Biggest gripe is having to take the tension off the spring to get the strut out, such a hassle. They have a more...

Auto-techs... when to replace front rotors?

Also, is it for the Canyon you are referring to? If so, is that 2wd or 4wd? You shouldn't have to remove any spindles, bearings maybe but then you should disassemble and repack those (with new seals) at every brake service anyway.

Auto-techs... when to replace front rotors?

Any brake shop or most auto parts stores should be able to measure them for you to see if they can be turned. If they are too thin, they'll need to be placed. For the cost of new rotors these days, I generally don't bother with turning them and usually just replace them. If you have a...

    School me on exhaust work

I worked in a muffler shop for a few years and I don't think we ever removed old exhaust with anything other than a torch. You'll fight those rusty bolts on that flange for a long time with any other method. You could cut off the pipe with a saw but you'll need to get that flange apart and a...
