OEM Briggs $60 replacement the carb same as $15 ebay/amazon?

This is what I'm hoping for. Just ordered my first China carb on Amazon to replace the one on my circa 1985 snow blower with a Tecumseh engine.

    The Garage Journal V3

On a slightly related topic, I've been a member of thefiringline.com and thehighroad.org for ages. thehighroad switched over to this new software a couple of years ago. People complained, but the new features make it a better place. thefiringline never did. I rarely visit there anymore. I...

    The Garage Journal V3

Ryan, I'm assuming there will be notifications like other forums? Like button? Historically, the biggest issue I have with this current platform is that you never get notifications of replies so you have to go back and search for your post to see if it was responded to or quoted.

What do you guys think about these Husky Ratchets?

Lifetime warranty so there isn't really any downfall unless you don't like black tools.

Looking for recomendations on a concrete sealer

Interesting. I had not really thought about epoxy type finishes, I was originally looking more for standard concrete sealers that soak in. I'll look into it more. How do this product hold up long term? I've seen epoxy garage floors that look like hell a few years later as the finish starts to...

Looking for recomendations on a concrete sealer

To be clear, I'm just looking for a clear coat. Our floor already has a nice burned in finish from the trowel machine. Just want it shiny.

Looking for recomendations on a concrete sealer

The wife wants the industrial look in our newly finished basement. She's seen plenty of photos of clear sealed concrete floors that look wet they are so shiny. Since that is what she wants, I'm trying to find the best product for the job. It is in the house, so ideally water-based. I love...

M18 Fuel excessive for home/farm use?

Is the question whether to invest in battery tools vs. plug in tools? Personally, for a homeowner, I'd get a battery drill and impact. Everything else would be corded. My Sawsall and power saw bought in the early 90s still work perfectly and have decades of life still in them for residential...

Lets have some fun - post beer opening tools! (have to have this word to be legit!)

The wife bought me some flip flops a few years ago to open beer. Great conversation starter but I never could use it to open a beer bottle. Just seemed wrong. Years later, I bought a knife with a simple criteria. Need a clip, one blade and a bottle opener. Found this from Spider co, Love...

The Negatives to Gravel Floor in Metal Building?

IMHO, the other side is that the OP can't really afford to do concrete at the moment and have the building at the same time. I'd say go for the gravel, but plan for concrete in the future when you can afford it. After all, concrete needs a gravel base to begin with.

    Lets see your workbench

I used these on a workbench in the last house. Probably use them again in the new house. https://www.mcmaster.com/ee-slot/fixturing-track/

    Senco Framing Gun Problems

My Senco nailers (2" finish nailer and a cabinet stapler) are of the oil-less generation. I've never oiled them yet in 20 years, but they don't get used much anymore. YMMV.

    Garage Shop Preppers

I'm not there yet. Covid hit in the middle of me building a new house so things were dicey and there were shortages that I wasn't able to stock up for. They didn't last long but they were there, and still are. Last time I was at the grocery store, there were no green chilis, in two stores. Last...

    portable table saws

The more I look into it, this seems like solid advise. Almost everything on this saw is replaceable and upgradable. I just need to figure out what to do with dust collection now.

    portable table saws

Here is a pic of the old workhorse. Dad bought her in the early 80s and I inherited it after he passed. It has been used and abused a bit but still works fine if you don't need great accuracy. Edit, this isn't mine, but I have the same saw.

Had to google JET fence since I wasn't familiar with the term. Yep, that is the very fence on my saw. :rocketwho
