Covering studs soon... What else should I put in the wall?

This winter, I plan on insulating and drywalling the garage. The only things inside the walls are the electrical which consists of 2 outlets on each of the front (garage door), left and right walls. On the back wall, I have 2 sets of double outlets at my bench and a 120 switched outlet (for...

    What compressor is this????

Thanks for the quick replies. Any idea how to find out more about the pump? What its rated cfm is? The tank is questionable... We dumped out about a gallon of rusty water before we loaded it. The outside is not tank rust but more like metal dust attached to it that rusted. It wipes off...

    What compressor is this????

Went to an estate auction and won this for $110. The tank says it is a CH and built in 1987. The tank is rated at 200psi. Now the compressor just doesn't look like it is original to the tank. The motor is freakin huge. It is a 5hp AJAX with a magnetic starter. I had to disconnect it from...

    Bike storage.

I bought a couple of bike systems from Sears. They have a pair of adjustable hooks for the handlebars and the seat. You just hook them and pull the line. They are self locking. The only problem with them is that there is so much extra line you have to coil around the supplied cleat. My...

Asymmetric rotary and full size pick-up

Not a pain at all... Your truck shouldn't even weight 8k. I have a 05 F250 with the powerstroke and 38" tires. Mine weighs 8k. You should be fine. I lift mine on a bendpak asymmetric 10k. You just have to pull in a little farther than you would with a car.

How much to build a stand alone 2-3 door garage?

Neighbor just had a 30x40 built here in NC. Story and a half with 20x40 upstairs. 10' walls, built on a monolithic slab, siding and shingles, 200amp service. 2 garage doors and one walkin door. Stairs on the inside. He spent close to $50k. Amish are definitely craftsmen...cheaper...not sure...

Bit the bullet. Ordered a Bendpak XPR-10ACX

Your garage looks awesome.... Just curious as to why you put it so close to the door/wall in front of it? Maybe the depth perception of the angle of the camera is making it look really close.

Bit the bullet. Ordered a Bendpak XPR-10ACX

Didn't think of that angle. You would think so... It is basically a static load like a garage and all thread is holding it to the cinder blocks. It should be fine...

Well, the lift will be here tomorrow. Guess they estimated that it would be here today. Oh well...

    Ben Pearson Lift?

Whew.... Just checkin... :lol_hitti I wouldn't buy a used lift unless I knew how it was treated during its whole lifetime. And it better have been barely used. Lifts are pretty reasonable and not worth the hassel of installing a used one just to find out it needs new this and new that, then...

Bit the bullet. Ordered a Bendpak XPR-10ACX

Well, that was pretty smart. Wish I would have thought of that. But then again, I didn't really know which lift I was going to get. You pretty much had your garage completely planned out before you built it. You have any pics? What size is it?

Bit the bullet. Ordered a Bendpak XPR-10ACX

So you took the measurements of your lift and transferred it to a piece of steel, traced the bottom plate on the steel, then drilled the holes where it would mount, then placed it where you wanted it, drove the allthread in, removed your jig, poured the concrete, cut the excess allthread when...

Finally Decided on a 2 Poster - Need Advice

Bendpak claims their xpr-10acx can be used symetrically as well as asymetrically. I guess because of the triple telescoping arms in the front. Everyone I have talked to about which lift to purchase has leaned towards the bendpak xpr-10acx when I told them I was going to be lifting F250's and...

Finally Decided on a 2 Poster - Need Advice

My garage is 24x36. The garage door is on the 24' wall. So it is 36' deep. The lift is going to be 14' from the back wall, 22' from the garage door. It is a little over 12' wide so there will be about 6' to each side wall.

    new lift installed, Danmar 10ACX

Congrats.... How far from the wall is your lift? I just ordered the Bendpak version and will be installing it myself (with the help of some friends). How long did your installer take from start to finish? Did he run into any problems?

Bit the bullet. Ordered a Bendpak XPR-10ACX

I went through metro-lifts. Only because the customer service is great. I talked to Wes and he said that since I am installing it myself, I could call him anytime should I run into a snag. They have installed thousands of lifts and can walk me through any problems. Bendpak sets the prices and...
