    glad that work out for you Joe. rember to post the measurment of the " ESI fused test lead ". I never bought new fused lead ,just always made my own. lol.

    i have also started to do this as the price amp clamps drop. but i still use my fuse test lead for all testing. cuz we all do somthing stupid at one time.

    you could put what ever size fuse you want in the lead, but rember it blow the lowest rated fuse first. so if you want a 10 amp fuse in the lead you need to put a 12 to 15 amp fuse inside the meter ,so as to make sure the test lead fuse blows first.

    i did not get any extra fuses. what i did was take the postive lead and put a in line fuse in it < like what you see for car radio> so if i blow a fuse it will be the normal maxi fuse and not the meter fuse. auto fuses cost alot less then meter fuses. and i use a 7.5 amp.

    wow!! how did i miss this garage bulid ? I plan on doing something like this. a wood & metal shop to rebulid and restore old machines, appliances, furniture,lawn epuipment , cars, what ever the harts desire ect. so with that being said what you do differant?

    if you got this plan on goin through every thing..in the pic you can see bare wires around the pressure swicth and not even want to think about the new low pressre gas lines on it and the motor is prob 5hp muti voltage 3phase wired for 220v
