    Radiant In-Floor Heat Issue

So, something I checked out on the boiler yesterday. I had the unit off for a day or two. Then yesterday I turned it back on, and all points on the SSRs were showing 120v. Also, the heating elements were showing 120v on each post. But, it didn't seem to be heating very well. Only seeing 75*...

    Radiant In-Floor Heat Issue

Hello all, went into my garage this morning and notice the pump was running for my in floor heat, but the temp was pretty low, and also felt the pipe, which also felt cool. So, I figured there was a heating issue. At first I thought it might be a heating element, so I pulled out the volt...

    Gas Line Question

I appreciate all the knowledge guys. Good to know I'm good to add at least a stove to my house. Currently my furnace is 80K, and I believe you're right on the water heater, I believe it's 40K. Like I mentioned, there is a T in the line post regulator, so I'll most likely run a line to the...

    Gas Line Question

Oh yeah, there's some snow here. But not nearly enough...would love to see a few feet so I can fire out the sleds. I can zoom in on my picture, and I see 250 CF/H. Also, the regulator reads, 325-3LX, which I believe is the model number. Then Po 7'-11' 5 PSIG Class I My gas is NG. I...

    Thermostat setting for Hydronic Heating

Sorry, been out on business. But, it's a pretty simple system. The T-stat just calls for the pump and the boiler to crank up. I just kinda thought sense there was such a void between times it kicks in, that if I set the stat higher, it wouldn't have to play catchup as much when it did...

    Thermostat setting for Hydronic Heating

Hello all, this is my first winter at my new place with a extra detached garage that has hydronic radiant heat. I've pretty much got the system all up to snuff over the past few weeks. It was low on water, air separator was bad, reaplaced a pretty antiquated thermostat, ect. So, something...

    Couple In Floor Heat Questions

Sounds good guys. I'll check the direction tonight. I do not recall which was it was flowing. Should be pretty easy to tell once turn the heat on. I'll replace the air separator, and see how it goes. I guess I wasn't thinking about the expansion of the water once it's heated up. I'm sure...

    Couple In Floor Heat Questions

Here's a couple pictures of the manifolds. What's the best method to adding water to the system? Thanks again guys.

    Couple In Floor Heat Questions

Thanks for your help guys. Yes, there is a manifold down the line where it feeds into the ground. There's two manifolds, with three of the plastic runs one each manifold. Each end has a drain, or a regular faucet you'd see on the outside of the house. Unfortunately, there is no water to...

    Couple In Floor Heat Questions

Good evening. My wife and I recently moved into a new place with a second garage. It has an in-floor radiant heat system in it. I've never had a system like this in my garage, just a regular gas style, which is what's in the main attached garage. Anyways, since it's getting to that time of...

FYI Feit lights back at Costco

Is there any reason these can't be flush mounted? I really would prefer that, to using a chain.

    Gas Fireplace...adding thermostat

Thanks for the info. I do believe there is a thermostat type deal for the fan, because there is a delay when I start the fireplace. Plus, the instructions show one as well. I'll have to play with it and see if it turns off when I flip the switch to the fire.

    Gas Fireplace...adding thermostat

So, I know this isn't exactly for my garage...but I figured you guys are all pretty smart people and might know what I need to do to get a regular thermostat on my gas fireplace in my basement. Right now, it just has a regular switch to turn it off and on, along with a variable rotary knob to...

    Caliper Hangers, Two Brands....

Same here. Guys that are having issues with the cheap ones you get from the dry cleaners; hotels have some pretty nice hangers that are a little more heavy duty. They will never miss one coat hanger. :) And they're usually chrome, for a little added rust prevention.

Where do you live? If it's in the south I'd be stocking that pond full of bass. Could be quite a lot of fun in the future.

    Small Suburban 2 Car

Looking good. I like the bed frame. I might have to try something like that out in the future. Interesting concept on the Keezer tower. Haven't seen one like that before. Are you on HomeBrewTalk? How were you able to fit 5 kegs in what appears to be a 7cuft freezer, without a collar?

    Milwaukee Hole-Dozer Rebate

You obviously didn't read my whole comment then. As I go on to describe the bag I have....the waterproof drycase bag. And my statement was that bag was worth what it's valued at. Your Milwaukee bag simply isn't worth $100 as Milwaukee states. If you believe it is..good for you and you can...

    Milwaukee Hole-Dozer Rebate

I beg to differ. I have this exact back pack, got it through the Penn Fishing promotion. LINK We all know MSRP isn't what things normally sell for, bag can be had for probably $80. And it has a hard stand up bottom, and 100% waterproof, and I can attest to that statement. Not, will it...
