    Rhinoliner

Its a polyurea coating. With proper prep work it would stick. I'm curious as to why you would want to use it?...Not to mention the cost per sq foot would be pretty high.

    How come I'm always last?

I slightly agree with you 71flh. I'm a minimalist. I like the natural look of things, and a low maintenance approach... but this philosophy can quickly take the slippery slope. If I stuck with that mindset; why would I paint the drywall in my home? Or why paint my car? Hey your woman analogy...

    should I use rustoleum epoxy

Generally most of us wont suggest it. Their are far better products available. Decide what your really looking for as a final finished product and talk to some of the venders on here. They can put together a package of products to help you out. My 2 cents ...;)

    How come I'm always last?

71flh - I may have missed your point, but are you suggesting that epoxy coating the garage floor is like painting the bricks? Adding unneeded maintenance to an otherwise relative maintenance free floor?

    How come I'm always last?

Pontiac - There never was a coating under the heater just bare concrete. So I ground as close as possible, and took some sandpaper to the old finish to scuff it up. That seems to hold up fairly well as long as the previous finish isn't peeling.

    How come I'm always last?

Gene - I like your outlook, preventive maintenance. Hipjake - I install cabinets on a lot of my jobs, and the ones that I really like cost big money. Sure I could compromise and get some decent ones but all the cabinets in the world wont keep my garage from eventually turning back into the junk...

    How come I'm always last?

Steven - Thanks, its also one of my favorite. The only problem is it takes lots of clear coat to build up a finish over the flakes. Black - Ive heard that before. Good thing all the professional mechanics i know drive POS cars/trucks. They don't have anything I'd consider buying ;)...but I got...

    How come I'm always last?

Well, why does my garage always look like a disaster? I'm supposed to set an example for my customers. I changed out my tired Home Depot epoxy on my floor, fixed some substantial cracks in my slab, and cleaned up my garage. Lets take a look. What I started with - 22x20 Two Car - Some...

    Edco TC-10 Problems -

Jamie - My thoughts exactly, and the tool rental place tried to pawn it off on someone. Legacy, I opened the case yesterday. I'm pretty disappointed though. My electric 10inch grinder is just about shot, this thing wont grind flush, and I have to wait for the EBAY claims to sort this mess...

    Edco TC-10 Problems -

Thanks guys ... It is a TG-10 We tried the mechanic route. The owner of the rental place got very defensive and strongly insisted that I bought it as is. He said that he wasn't going to look at it or have any more involvement with the grinder. I found this odd since I wasn't asking him to take...

    Edco TC-10 Problems -

I just bought a gas powered Edco TC-10. This thing looked to be in great shape, really clean on the exterior. I bought it on EBAY to replace an electric unit i have. I went to pick it up at a tool rental building (didn't know this when it was listed on ebay). At the rental place, I started it...

Any ideas on getting paint off of old body shop floor

I dont know how involved your wanting to get, or the end result your looking for. Renting a walk behind grinding tool will be pretty cost effective and quick.

Local Pro Epoxy Installer Doesn't Diamond Grind Floor?

Pro = Someone who has a visible company, not a fly by night operation. They will warranty their work. They should provide you with a written quote, and description of work to be preformed. They will specify (usually in mills) the amount of product to be applied to the floor. Lastly, They should...
