One of those ebay head scratchers...

Due to the sellers feedback and the "UPS only" shipping policy, I wouldn't touch the first one with a ten foot pole. Just my opinion. The second one looks like a pretty good buy if you are located in the US. If you are in Canada, the "UPS only" shipping terms make it not likely worth getting...

weaker impact wrench, slower or never?

Now that's the truth! If all else fails and I can get the box end of a wrench on it with a snipe or another box end locked into the open end of the first...well there ya go...another dummy with a lot of torque! :lol_hitti I haven't run across much that I couldn't break given room to work and...

I may have got punked on Ebay, maybe not.

That's too bad if you were indeed taken. In looking at the sellers feedback I think it would be unusual that you were misled...perhaps it was an honest mistake? Communicate with the seller and maybe you can work it out together.

weaker impact wrench, slower or never?

In my experience, some rusted nuts/bolts will come free with some hammering from my impact, (I only have one at the moment-fairly light duty) then the fastener will spin off slowly until it lets go or drops out. Anything that doesn't come loose fairly quick around here gets the Oxy/Acetylene...

    air compressor recommendation?

I think both the Eaton and the IR are good units. Check the Sticky thread at the top of the tools section...Directory of top threads or something like that. I think you will find lots of previous discussion on compressors there. I would likely pick the IR but I would rather have a two stage...

    Looking for a screwdriver (cordless)

I've got a whole drawer full of cordless screwdrivers. No batteries, no chargers, just good ol' elbow grease. Keeps the forearms solid as a rock. :)

    compresser set up help

75' is probably stretching it. Maybe you should look at putting a sub panel in the garage or go to #8 cable?

Anyone have couches in your garage?

:willy_nil Right off the top this seems like a good way to turn working in the garage into a spectator sport. I never appreciate an audience when I am working. :headshake Then I think about the floor/wall space wasted by a couch and the **** that would go with it. :lol_hitti OMG...

    Garage Wiring Ideas

Oh man! That would really TICK me off! Who installs a motion light without switching it? That's just dumb, imho. Sure photocell controlled yard lights etc could be wired without a switch, (I wouldn't want it or do it that way myself) but in the case of motion lights you have to switch them...

    Butane pencil, handy?

That price sounded too good to be true! :( For a mini torch to replace my old one I am leaning towards this one. http://www.ronsoncorp.com/techtorch_auto.cfm As an accessory to the old propane torch I saw this...

Is there good and bad adjustable wrench?

Wow! An original Crescent brand adjustable wrench. In my family the "adjustable wrench" has always been called a "Crescent Wrench". It's like facial tissue. When you need one you ask for a kleenex...well at least mosts peeps around here do. :) You have to buy a quality adjustable wrench...

    Garage Wiring Ideas

Not meaning to offend...but I can't for the life of me imagine anyone needing a 400 amp service for a house and residential garage/workshop subpanel. It's a cinch you should have unlimited options but 400 amps seems like overkill unless you have multiple outbuildings, lifts, etc, etc, etc...

Here's a weird one...does anyone make a powered open end wrench?

The only powerpack I have ever seen for open end wrenches is the one I have. It's attached to my shoulder. that's a tough one. Good luck!

    Butane pencil, handy?

I'm not sure about that one but I had a butane torch/heat gun/soldering iron that was nearly indispensable to me. It beat an electric soldering iron for soldering wires, quick to heat up and no cord dangling to tick me off but may be too hot for circuit boards, IC's etc. The heat gun option is...

    Husky air compressor...

I think I heard somewhere that Husky was manufactured by Campbell Hausfield? Don't quote me on that though. Home Depot carries Husky air compressors around here. Maybe the local store could point you in the right direction...if they carry them in your neck of the woods.

    60 gallon compressor

Indeed! What I posted earlier regarding the amp draw of a 5 HP electric motor was erroneous. Charles has it right. In my searching I found this link to some motor basics which someone may find useful? http://sawdustmaking.com/ELECTRIC%20MOTORS/electricmotors.html

    60 gallon compressor

No problem! I like the look of those husky's but I'm not sure they would make me happy. The HD near me had a 2 stage 80 gallon that I liked the looks of but the motor was missing off of it so I couldn't say what actual HP it was. It was advertised as 7.5 HP. Choosing the right compressor is...

New Member Garage Drywall Question - Your Advise & Tips Please

Heck if you have no budget line it with 1/2" or 3/8" plywood first, have blocking installed where you think you might need it, and then cover it with 1/2' or 3/8' drywall or just paint the plywood bright white. Have a pro do the mud & tape to save yourself headaches. Then make sure you paint...
