I don't get why Sears would be coming out with a different 18v line. Yes, they parted ways with TTI, but Chervon has been making nearly all of C3 since 2014 anyways. Why not utilize the millions of current C3 users out there to your advantage? Makes no sense. The only thing I can think is they...

I haven't used it a ton, but the C3 stapler has always worked well enough for me. They pop up on eBay pretty regularly in the $50 range. It doubles as a Brad Nailer, which is handy if you don't have the SpeedShot one, which really has a lot of power.

Saw this instagram photo of the demo models of the new SBD cordless line at the launch event. Notice the lone C3 drill in that line up? It is the little 3/8" C3 drill that comes packaged with the little 1.3ah battery. Its list price is $59 as a kit and frequently on sale for $49. SBD used the...

Color me unimpressed. Very little from that line is better than C3. And that 1/2" impact wrench is worse. That is the older DeWalt 20v MAX model now in red instead of yellow, and it is TERRIBLE. DeWalt claims 350 ft lbs but it isn't. The C3 Heavy Duty 1/2" Impact model is noticeably stronger...

Are you sure you're not thinking of one of these? The CR2000? Yeah, I have one and, yeah, they are not rare. I own a couple. Ebay listing history does not show that one of those ones the seller has listed has ever been listed before on ebay, and I can't find any info on that part number.

Oh, it won't be DeWalt compatible. That's for certain. But if those silhouette images are correct, then the batteries are DeWalt based, just like SBD's Porter-Cable and Stanley branded power tools. Saves on engineering and tooling. Again, IF those images are correct and not just random SBD...

I got that as well. It was to be expected. Still sad though. I guess I should really be happy about this, because I would be out so much money if they had revived the C3 line, haha.

    Help choosing compressor

I'd like a small portable compressor to throw in the back of a pick-up when working on a rental or something. I've narrowed it down to two very different choices: Dewalt DWFP55126: https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-DEWALT-6-Gal-165-PSI-Electric-Pancake-Air-Compressor-DWFP55126/205298243...

Yeah, screw should be reverse-thread. I've also never had much of an issue when I remembered that part.

It's rare, but there is also a 2.0 XCP slim pack. It was Chervon made. TTI made the 1.5 XCP pack and the bigger 4.0 XCP. eBay is probably best bet to find a 2.0.

Just letting everyone know, Lowes' website is announcing an April 2 launch of new SBD Craftsman. Maybe nobody cares from a customer standpoint, but I think it's at least profoundly interesting just too see what SBD will do with their billion dollar purchase. Poking around Lowes website, it...

I've never seen that, but it is not complete. I should really make a thread detailing of every C3 tool, battery, and charger. After 12 years, there are only a couple tools I have no experience with.

Checking eBay, the router and buffer sold in less than a day. Not surprising. The 7.25" saw is still there, though. If you guys haven't owned that model, you'll love it compared the three smaller ones. The smaller ones are handy for sure when you want something small, light, and quick, but the...

Hey I was just going to post that if anyone is looking to round out their collection, a number of rarer items got posted on ebay this weekend. -There is a router for $135 plus shipping. They frequently go for over $200, and the last one that was on there was in February and went for $300. The...

Yeah, there's some remaining inventory out there, but outside of batteries and chargers, everything is Chervon-made at this point.

That's my thought. We'll all be able to use our C3 stuff for years and years to come. Which grinder do you have? If you have the TTI one (315.FS2601B), it is larger and heavier than the Chervon one (320.51095 or sometimes listed as model 2904). Both have the same amount of power. I bought...
