    Went to Sears today and...

I found myself needing an 11mm flare nut wrench today, so I ran to Sears to grab one so I could finish up my project today. Well, I get to Sears, and start looking at their selection, and low and behold, not one flare nut wrench was made in the USA. To top that off, they were wanting $20 a...

    Diesel Injector cleaning, any recommendations?

Did you buy the equipment? If not, there are companies that specialize in cleaning and flow testing injectors. I can't tell where you are, but if you are in the US, I can get you the info for a company local to me that does this service.

Can you bend rubber hoses with a heat gun?

Here is an example. The stuff is pricey, but you can buy it by the foot. We have it available at a local hydraulic supply store.

    Is this welder worth it

You would be better off putting an extra $100 or $200 with that money and buying a 220v unit. You can outgrow a 110v in a hurry.

Can you bend rubber hoses with a heat gun?

They make silicone tubing. We have used it on turbo installs when using v-bands and aluminum tubing was not convenient. The silicone is very soft and easy to manipulate. They also make different bends, reducers, etc.

Can you bend rubber hoses with a heat gun?

If you are just needing a slight bend, you could use a section of silicon hose between the tb and the plastic hose.

So, I go to my buddy's shop today....

Thanks for the comments guys. The funny thing was that of all the other places for the leak to spring, it sprung right above his box. Nothing else in the shop was wet.

So, I go to my buddy's shop today....

My buddy has been kind enough to let me keep my car at his shop while I was doing some major changes on my car. I got to the shop today to find that the roof had sprung a leak..... right over his big tool box. Needless to say, I spent the next couple of hours cleaning up, drying and oiling his...

    Mig Wire Corrosion problem

I have not had this problem, but have you thought about using one of the dehumidifying rods that are made for use in a gun safe? They are designed to be on all the time, so it would probably be worry free.

What would you try to sell this box for?

The boxes I see on CL around here are normally folks that are trying to get payoff for the box after only paying a year on it from the truck, or they are overpriced lower end boxes. I try to keep in mind that people shopping on CL are usually looking for a real bargain, or they are someone that...

Unsure of what I need: Welder

If you are going to weld aluminum, go ahead and get the TIG. There are people that will say just get the spool gun and MIG it, but you will be much happier using the TIG. If I were buying a product that was fabricated using aluminum, I would want it to be TIG welded.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Re: what did you do in your garage today? Straightened up my scrap metal pile, swept, vaccumed, and started the layout for my new welding/fab table. About time to bring the race car back in for some upgrades and a new engine.
