I'm frightened. H/F is getting higher quality.

I don't see the jack stands I bought from them some time back. They have a triangular cross pin that locks the ratchet. It seems that none of them have this feature anymore...I see some of the Torin's do. Anyone else have this paranoia? I know it's not supposed to be able to drop when it's...

    flex or standard ratchet wrenches?

I bought the standard some years ago and then just recently I got the flex on a super deal from Sears. I pretty much now use just the flex. If I already owned the flex I would not buy the standards.

I'm frightened. H/F is getting higher quality.

Ok, so I never, ever buy Harbor Freight power tools, air or electric. I had a bad experience something more than 5 years ago and never went back nor did I stop bad mouthing them. Uhm, err....I had a 25% single item discount coupon and a 20% off any order more than a $100. So (god forgive me)...

    Which dryer?

I'm looking to buy a Hypertherm Powermax 30. I see that it's recommended that you put a dedicated dryer on the compressed air line to it. What's a good a one to buy?

Ok, what makes this ratchet 8x faster?

You're right...that's exactly what I thought. Thanks for the video and explanation...I'm not sure what to think about it now.

Ok, what makes this ratchet 8x faster?

I understand that the head indexes but they claim the ratchet is 8 times faster. Why would it be any faster? What am I missing here? http://industrialpowerhandtools.iboii.com/buying-greatneck-28500-adjustable-angle-speedy-ratchet-38-inch-drive-online.html

A level of skill I can't even begin to aspire to.

I tripped across this guys youtube channel. His metal working skills are just amazing to me...and in several of the too short videos he refers to himself as an amateur.

    Odd squirrel question

Man just do what my old boss did. Close all the doors and leave the truck running for a few hours. Heck it killed him and he was a jackass so it should work on a squirrel.

Anyone use one of the Northern Tool welding carts?

That's the one I was looking at. They get generally good reviews.

Anyone use one of the Northern Tool welding carts?

Seriously thinking about one of these. The big one may be too big but maybe not. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200514349_200514349 http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200395734_200395734 http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200483123_200483123...

    anti seize fetish?

I use it. I over use it. I wear Nitrile 9 mil gloves from HF (the greatest disposable gloves I have ever used). It still gets allover everything. I can use it in December in my garage and find it stuck to a bedroom ceiling in October when we repaint. It's like anti-seizing poison ivy.

Need info about acetylene Craig's list

As always, I've learned a great deal. Because of my limited needs, I'll likely get a new set of lower end Victor's. Then go to my local Airgas and get some tanks I can swap in and out. It seems like this will be the easiest scenario for a noob like me to deal with.

Need info about acetylene Craig's list

I'm looking for an Oxy-acetylene torch for just general garage work. Nothing really specific, just for whatever needs a lot of heat or cut off. I found several people advertising Conoa . I'm really not familiar with them. I found one in particular, a Conoa 806-8402 Two Stage, new in box. Is...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

Oddly enough, a truck was not the first place I ran into screw-in pistons. I knew a woman that had a Saab 900. The front brake calipers had them. So there are a myriad of oddball calipers that you may run into.

I agree a 100%. Rodger Barr is the man I could only dream of having as a mentor. Can you imagine growing up with him as your father or grandfather?
