    Epoxy River Table advice

thanks for the compliment. I don’t think I would silicone under the river, the epoxy will only fill any voids where it’s not flat in the form. I’m not sure of the bonding on your product but you could do a shallow pour and let it harden up before the final pour, that would seal the bottom...

Better make sure you don’t have a couple of drinks and step out of that door 😳 Slab storage is a great idea, I just have mine in a pile with stickers in between.

    Epoxy River Table advice

Make sure you seal it up really well (the pour table). It will find its way out of any microscopic void and be all over the floor. Lots of patience as well, takes a lot of time to polish it up, etc. Here is another idea I tried a couple of times and I really like the effect.

    Epoxy River Table advice

Great looking slab. I have never reinforced any of the projects I have done but none are that big. I would get that in the form as soon as possible and clamp it down to be sure it doesn’t warp on you.

    Buying A Bandsawmill, Any Recommendations?

We had some nice spalted birch (a couple of logs) and a nice cherry that has some rot in the middle. We also cut up some ash to keep the pile level. It’s piled in my chicken coupe, gets nice and warm in there on the sunny days.

    Buying A Bandsawmill, Any Recommendations?

We have a frontier. Works really well and was reasonable price. Have a lot of fun with it. Milled some lumber today!

I would like to see it after the planer? I have some boards cut from an apple tree, they are moving around a lot

Looks great. We milled some a couple of years ago, my son made a table and a vanity top with a few pieces. The boards tend to twist a lot as you mentioned and it does darken over time. I have a stupmp siting in Thanks Glenn Murch garage for a couple of years now, I may try and resaw it in the...

Swing gate. Nothing happens, just a click from the opener board

    Gate opener not working

I install these systems. Can you carefully move the cat5e so I doesn’t break and take a picture of the white termial blocks below the Byan circuit board? It sounds like a safety device for the people or car safe isn’t allowing the gate to close. On power up these inputs are disregarded...

    Gate opener not working

I checked the caps with a meter and they both are in range. I closed the gate manually and it opens with the remote. Now when I turn the hex key hydraulic lock on the one side it goes deeper into the cylinder and it won’t stop the gate from manual open/close. Now when closed only one side...

    Gate opener not working

Thanks for the help. I guess "it quit" wasn’t accurate, it will not close from the opener command or the keypad. You can hear the click from the chamberlain unit but the gate will not close. Intermittent isn’t correct, it will close on its own after a power cycle. I believe this is a...

    Gate opener not working

The control board and safety sensors are fine. I believe the motors are fine as well. Yesterday I turned off the power to remove and confirm the fuses. After the power came back on the gate closed (I think that may be a programmed feature). When the gate was closed it opened using the remote...

I like the look of those rails. I have been thinking about a router sled for a while now. I have been getting by with my planer and drum sander for most tasks. Btw, thermoworks rocks! This is a small table I made from a downed ash that we milled. I like using the rough stuff

    Gate opener not working

Hi. Thanks in advance. Here are photos. The controller is doorking 1812. Circuit board is 1871-010 The gate operator is Bryan System model 500A/500B

    Gate opener not working

The gate is not stuck and I believe the sensors are fine. I’m not sure if I can get at the relays to test them, they’re all on a circuit board and lots to remove to get at the back. Should there be voltage at the capacitors when idle? After a power interruption the gate will sometimes close...

    Gate opener not working

I have a gate at the end of my driveway with a door king keypad. It is 19 years old and has been perfect. The other day it quit and I haven’t found someone to service it yet. I figured it was likely simple so I looked at it. Two capacitors, both test fine, all fuses look good. Both the keypad...

Anyone have a hybrid water heater?

I bit the bullet and had the Rheem 50 gal installed yesterday. I have it set on eco mode so it took a couple of hours to come up to temp. I see it used 1/4 kWh overnight set at 130 degrees. Took 3.7 kWh to heat the water up after install. Looking good so far

Anyone have a hybrid water heater?

Thanks for your thoughts. We have a large unfinished area in our basement where this would go. We spend most of the winter in Florida. There are only 2 of us and we have never run out of hot water with a 40 gal propane heater
