    Metal Cutting

Could this be part of one's arsenal of cutting tools? http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200309556_200309556 Price is right and no mess. I'm sure there are some downsides.

    Hand held scroll saw

Hi all, Is there such a thing as a hand held scroll saw, much like a jig saw? Or, are there scroll saw blades one could put in a jig saw. Haven't been able to find either. Thanks!

Are picture tube tv's really that obsolete ?

I'm missing something here. None of my TVs are new. All are old picture tube types but yet still receive Dish Network 500 channels just fine. As long as one has a cable or satellite provider, I don't think it matter what kind of TV you have. HD channels or not, its all the same...

    Roof vents in existing structure?

Thought I'd bring up this old post on ridge vents to tack on my question: should I be able to see daylight from the attic, through these ridge vents? I had a re-roof several years ago and these were put in. My AC guy was in the attic today and asked if I had ridge vents installed because he...

    Shop vac exhaust question

Thanks guys. Sounds like a new shop vac is in order. My current one is pretty old and its design is simply a cage that is surrounded by a foam filter(cylinder type) which is covered by one of those blue paper filters held on by a plastic slip ring. No bag involved here.

    Shop vac exhaust question

I like the system you posted by woodcraft. If I understand how it works, I'm guessing it's 'in series' with the intake of the vacuum hose? ie, the top port is connected to the vac hose and the port just below it, (perpendicular to it) then connects to the vac port on the vacuum?

    Shop vac exhaust question

Hi all, I'm doing a lot of sanding on my car and trying to keep the dust issue down. What I find is, that everytime I turn on the shop vac to clean up a paint dust mess, the exhaust port spits out a big cloud. Makees even a bigger mess. A clean filter minimizes this but it doesn't take...

Hmm, interesting. Did you get this box new, like from some big box dept store? Got a model type? edit: Just did some digging and it looks pretty common; just a dvd rdr/wrtr, found just about anywhere. Sorry, haven't bought a dvd player in a long time.

    quick lift ramps?

I kinda like them and I'm sure you can modify them to work like a Kwik lift but I think $200 is a bit high, for what's there. I'd offer $100,,,,,maybe less as I think about it.
