Is there a “pre-mixed” trowelable fast solution for a garage floor?

"Additional thoughts: This is a 100% solids, no-VOC product." "Also, keep in mind that our 3 gallons of 100% solids (NO VOC's)" FYI: 100% solids means no solvents, means no VOCs, means no outgassing, means you won't have to abandon your home should it fail to cure properly. Means, no shrinkage...

    Question about Etching

Agreed. His points about the differences between an etched surface and a ground surface are valid but his etch process in general was very poorly executed. Relying on water rinses to neutralize an acid etch can lead to very real problems.

    Question about Etching

I know I'm late to the party and this is a bit of a sidebar but watching the attached video one thing to note (for those who might use this video as a reference on how to acid etch) is that there was zero reference or demonstration indicating that the acid solution was actively neutralized ...

Repair Clear Coat on Epoxy Flake Floor

Our SpheriTex is awesome stuff! Transforms the finish into a beautiful matte finish when looking at it from a distance (great for camouflaging dust) but is clear when looking directly down at your floor. Non-abrasive so it won't snag mops or dirt and is easy on the knees, back if you're into...

Help with Cleaning Epoxy covered floors

Or... Scuff/degloss with 175rpm floor maintainer/maroon ScotchBrite pad and apply a fresh coat of white tinted EnduraShield urethane... You may be able to improve the cleaning with a floor maintainer but it won't remove everything. A few drops of Dawn dish soap in distilled water works pretty well.

Repair Clear Coat on Epoxy Flake Floor

No, it's a 2k urethane. For 900sf you'd want 2.5 gal. with, or without traction additive.

Repair Clear Coat on Epoxy Flake Floor

How many square feet? We've never had an issue with customers running out of time with our EnduraShield. The TDS states 20min working time but in practical applications its much longer than that. It also stays in the mix bucket and is poured into a rolling tray incrementally much like house...

If it's readily absorbing water droplets it should be good-to-go.

Is there a “pre-mixed” trowelable fast solution for a garage floor?

"It would be for a standard 1-car garage in a suburban town with basic garage tools, so no major traffic or abuse. I’ve read that epoxies alone generally aren’t optimal, and polyaspartic or polyurea topcoats are highly indicated. I’m guessing this wouldn’t apply to your prosumer product?" That...

Is there a “pre-mixed” trowelable fast solution for a garage floor?

    1) You can pick up the cheapest 4.5" angle grinder / turbo cup wheel / shroud for about $90 less with coupons or, step up to a 7" setup (which is what I would do with 250sf to grind). Before you go there, this WILL accomplish the task as well as the Bosch. It might be noisier, vibrate more and...

Is there a “pre-mixed” trowelable fast solution for a garage floor?

For a 250sf floor using 3 gal of our IntegraCoat MPE 2k epoxy ($415.00 + shipping) 1) If you have an existing coating on there now that is compromised and flaking up then we know that you will have to grind your floor at a minimum. If it there are areas that are still well adhered you may not...

Is there a “pre-mixed” trowelable fast solution for a garage floor?

It's not rocket science. If you can follow basic, well presented instructions and you choose high quality materials you can achieve (or exceed) results offered by professional contractors. Typically at about half the price. It's not for everyone, some prefer professional services and that's...

Is there a “pre-mixed” trowelable fast solution for a garage floor?

Trust me, there's nothing "extreme" or special about the temps or humidity in upstate NY that would challenge any of the solutions already offered up on your previous post. Oooops... I forgot this part "I’m not sure I trust epoxy/polyaspartics without multiple coats and an entire consortium of...

Beginner: etch confusion and venting advice

The shrouded hand held angle grinder, like the DeWalt from Sunbelt pictured above, actually do a very good job when hooked up to the rented dust extraction unit. Only downside is that you typically can't run both the field grinder and grind the edges at the sametime. If you want to run both...

Beginner: etch confusion and venting advice

The "E" in Lavina L14E stands for Electric (vs Gas/Propane). BTW, the difference between an edge grinder and a std grinder is that the edge grinder will have an opening on the side of the shroud that will expose the cutting head and allow you to grind right up against the wall. Std shrouds...
