    Quality Taiwanese Tools.

Their bit ratchets. Especially the ones by Hi-five/ NewTools, like the VIM HBR4/Prestaratchet, and the ones with the multifunction extension. Also the Titan offset micro ratchets, and the Genius Tools wobble extensions.

How tight should new pliers be? How do you wear them in?

Curiously, I saw your video while searching for that image. What a coincidence. Please be careful, not to step on the Legos it can be horribly painful. I will look that product up, and read about it. Sounds like a safer alternative for a klutz like me

How tight should new pliers be? How do you wear them in?

LOL they didn't learn the lesson, already have a new baby. So young it still can't wear clothes.

How tight should new pliers be? How do you wear them in?

Just a warning. DO NOT USE LAPPING COMPOUND. Do not use valve grinding compound. If you do you must be extra careful and make sure that you remove it thoroughly. If you don't, at first it will feel as if the pliers are working perfectly, then a few days/weeks later they become wobbly pliers...

    Channellock recomends Plasti-Dip for rehandling

LOL bad if we resurrect an old thread, and bad if we start a new one asking the same... Thanks for not hating on it. That aside. I'm so glad that air fryers are so cheap now. You can clean your tools well, throw them in the air fryer for a few minutes to remove any humidity, and then Dip them...

"Water Pump" pliers where does the name come from?

I once tried to wipe sweat from my face with Kleenex tissues. They disintegrated, and I had pieces of paper all over my face. What are they even for?

water pump pliers - box joint vs. groove and tongue joint

I read somewhere that it is because they look like the handle that moves the piston rod on antique well pumps. They do share some similarities.

    Malco Connext3?

I got the full size handle. I has less wobble than a rapidaptor based handle from wera, but unfortunately it wasn't designed to work with insert bits, nor Japanese style bits. Still I really like it.

Tekton is expanding their hex key and Torx options

Nice, hopefully they hit Amazon soon. Tekton doesn't ships here directly. If they did, all my tools would have been tekton due to the student discount.

    Amazon Knipex Cobras

Can confirm, Wera single tools usually come with nothing but a paper tag/sticker around the tool itself. But the packaging they use for the sets is just beautiful. Edit: I have also received knipex tools wrapped in just brown paper. Now I'm worried 😂

USA made lineman pliers: Is this market saturated?

I just wish that we could buy as much with a dollar as we could 30 years ago. Also, I just learned that I have been undervaluing my work for years, at $10 an hour. 😭

USA made lineman pliers: Is this market saturated?

If I tried using my pliers as a hammer, my teacher would smack me behind the ears. He was angry at me for using the PliersWrench for holding the shaft of a compressor, instead of using a wrench. Wouldn't even accept the fact that there is even less of a chance of damaging the thing with the...

    Pass through ratchet

I have the Duralast, which is the same as the crescent, and is compatible with gear wrench pass through sockets. It's been a lifesaver when I actually needed it. If you are looking for a pass through socket set, and don't mind not being able to use the sockets with a regular ratchet, or a...
