USA made lineman pliers: Is this market saturated?

Our Innovation was mostly imported from other countries via industrial espionage, poaching, or patent stealing (just as China does now). 😂

Has anyone noticed a drastic decline in Wiha quality?

Those look nice. Plus they smell like vanilla.

Has anyone noticed a drastic decline in Wiha quality?

What about Wiha microbits, with an iFixit handle? It will not be as precise as an actual screwdriver, or a bit being held by a clutch mechanism, but it feels so nice, and the thick handle, would allow you to apply torque without pain.

Has anyone noticed a drastic decline in Wiha quality?

I have only one wera jcis #00 precision screwdriver, and love it. But then again, all my other precision screwdrivers have been el cheapo thin metal ones, with shafts that somehow manage to spin inside the metal handle, and accomplish nothing, or really cheap bit drivers from Kmart (RIP)...

Knipex finish: chrome plated versus black atramentized?

And here I was dismantling a ratchet with a similar mechanism. I must ask, does the Wiha version also has a tiny cylindrical pin that goes between the tiny spring and the pawl? The tiny pin in the image mounts vertically and holds the pawl in place. Edit: It seems like the Wiha has the pin...

    Box Cutter Update

"But it can't open bottles" Just place it under the lip of the cap, and pull sharply. Now, I will go cry in my room, as USD $200 is about 2/3 of my yearly income. Does money grows on trees there?

    Trade School Tool Discounts

Writing this separately such as not to get things all mixed up. If the institution he studies at offers tools as part of the package, try to wait until they give him the Tool set, so that he can avoid buying duplicates. The kit I was given included most of the tools, I just had to buy lineman's...

Has anyone compared ERNST Gripper Wrench Organizer vs. US General ones?

Good point. And yes, I don't have much wall space. This is a 12*12 room. Haha

Has anyone compared ERNST Gripper Wrench Organizer vs. US General ones?

I would just turn one upside down. But only if they are going to be inside a drawer, or toolbox. if they are going to hang from a wall, then the reversed gripper is definitely a must.

    What is this Snap-on…thing?

If OP doesn't know the name, how are they going to search for it? What you did is the same as "Oh Yeah, the answer is somewhere between page 1 and page 4523, good luck finding it" Also, Google search results vary from device to device.

Info on new Tekton ratcheting wrenches

You are not alone. Satin finish tools just look elegant, and feel way better on the hand. At least they won't go flying when your hands get sweaty.
