    Newbie here, 4-Post info?

You just described the Advantage Lift DX-9000. I have the older SS9000XLT and love it. Great lift. Great warranty. Great before and after sale service. There are quite a few Advantage users here on GJ. Do a quick search and they should pop up. www.advantagelifts.com

    The Ryobi Tool Appreciation/Review Permathread!

That is really weird. No wonder you are frustrated. I wonder if there has been a change in the product? Mine works flawlessly but it is over 18 months old now.

How much is the rolling jack going for these days? I have one but a few times have wished I had a second.

How to do plumbing stub outs?

Our house was built in 2017 and they used Pex lines with the copper stub outs(like pictured above) for the water stops. The water stops are a plastic valve that uses a push on with a CW twist motion to install them. They have a round disk that pushes in to stop the water flow and pulls out to...

    Show your new tool arrivals

They aren't here yet but I'll post up because the sale goes on for a few more days and doubtlessly one of you fellow junkies needs a fix. Amazingly, I stumbled across them on a car site, not here. Which just goes to prove the entire internet is a dangerous place! :p Anyway, once I saw them I...

    preventing cam-out on Phillips screws

An old machinist trick: Try putting a little dab of lapping compound on the end of your Phillips bit. It works surprisingly well on tough, high torque jobs.

    House with RV garage...

It looks great! Moving in July won't be fun but that memory will fade. Closing with a super low interest rate is a nice perk that you will fondly remember for many years to come. Welcome to QC!

Then I hope the replacement impact gun they send you solves the problem. My impact has been great from day one in the 1, 2 or 3 switch positions. But unlike drills, saws or grinders, I've never had to take off enough fasteners to run the battery in the impact gun down.

I've never walked into a Harbor Freight store....

I've had decent enough luck with their corded tools. I bought a 4.5" angle grinder there 20+ years ago and it is still running. I've since bought more at the still low, low price of $9.99 because I'm too lazy to swap between flap discs, cutoff and grinding wheels. I also have a $24 oscillating...

I've never walked into a Harbor Freight store....

1, The short list for good stuff at HF? Their Pittsburg impact sockets, Pittsburg composite ratchets, their motorcycle lift is awesome, the big 60 gallon compressors are bulletproof, the US General tool cart and boxes can't be beat. There is much more, but that's the short list. 2, Read the...

Just curious if you charged the battery first? My Ryobi cordless drill will behave like that when the battery is starting to get run down. Slap in a freshly charged battery and it works flawlessly.

    BendPak Lift Popping Sound

I always leave the hood up if I'm charging a battery still installed in the car so there is air circulation to prevent the build up of heat. Most modern batteries are sealed and don't vent fumes anymore, but any hydrogen fumes from older style unsealed flooded lead acid batteries will dissipate...

    Another garage urinal thread

I'm not a plumber, but I think all you'll need is a P trap between the urinal and the RV dump to block the fumes from coming up the 4" line.

Setting up a welding space, any ideas?

HF sells a folding welding table exactly like the one pictured in your second post. I have one. It is okay for smaller parts. You might also want to consider buying a welding blanket from HF as well. It can be used as a wall or floor covering to protect your garage from sparks and slag. I also...

Can someone help with a floor jack problem?

See the sig line at the bottom of Hiball's post? That'd be a good place to start if you need parts. Hiball has probably forgotten more about jacks than most of us know. I pulled apart my old Snap-on YA700 about 5 months ago. It was doing the same thing as your jack. Wanna guess what the...
