Thoughts on building walls on a boat?

It's structural but not weight bearing. It holds the aluminum frame together and the second floor rests on top. It just has to hold a rivet. This might be the stuff. Need to look into what thicknesses are offered.

Interesting. I'll have to call them and see if the 1/4" product will be safe from bubbling.

Thoughts on building walls on a boat?

Hi Guys, I'm totally out of my element and thought I'd come to this area of GJ and see if anybody has some ideas. A buddy is rebuilding a double-decker pontoon boat in my shop and we're currently rebuilding the bathroom. The aluminum extrusion frame pieces that hold it all together have exactly...

    Astro Pneumatic Tool Company

Big shout out and thanks to Chris for handling a small issue I had with one of my beloved pinless impact sockets the other day. Had a new one in hands within a day or two. In years past he's also been like Santa Claus with his giveaways and BOGOs. This is the kind of company I want to spend my...

    Good Digital Angle Finder?

Funny, I was working on miter cuts for a bump rail on a pontoon boat last night and my buddy stopped by with that exact same one. Before we started working, I checked it against a carpenter's square for 45 and 90 degrees and it was DEAD NUTS. Couldn't believe it. We used it the rest of the night...

Thanks for the tip on the Jetboil mixed fuel. Didn't know I could gas up my torch with it. I use a Jetboil for tailgating at my ski hill -- just FYI Walmart Sells the large Coleman branded butane/propane canisters for $9 in-store.

Anyone have a low-priced digital conductance 12v battery tester that they like and re

I have an Ancel BA301. It also does 6v. It has a solid non-hollow feel in the hand and a nice color screen. The firmware is updated via a USB cable -- when I got it, the first thing I did was check the firmware and there was an update available. I've only used it once, on a Silverado with 2...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

In this case, because the cart doesn't reflect the BOGO, they have you buy both at full price, give them your order number via chat, and they issue a separate refund. So I have a receipt that shows both items bought at full price. Personally I'm keeping the battery anyway, but I said...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Theoretically you could return the battery for $149 and get *PAID* $30 to take the free grinder!

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Thanks for the heads up! I had the same experience where I added the grinder and battery to my cart and nothing was adjusted. I opened up a chat and they first tried to tell me that they could do $149 for both, but they adjusted it manually and honored the $119 price for everything after I...

    Fork lift for the shop

Still scares me. Irrational, I know, since I have a car lift and stand under cars all the time, but still would rather leave it to a pro. Especially if it's a main seal or something big.

    Fork lift for the shop

I have an old 70s or 80s 3k Clark that appears to be retrofitted to run on propane. It's been rock solid for about 4 years. I use it for everything from pulling engines out of cars to loading pallets. I have pallet racking so I've palletized my life -- I have an ice fishing pallet, a powder...

Milwaukee die grinder vs air Die Grinder

I have multiple air die grinders (my favorite is my Aircat because it's super quiet and doesn't give me frostbite) and also the Milwaukee. I keep an actual carbid burr bit on the Milwaukee and it does a great job. Pretty good with 2" Roloc disks as well. Where it falls short is if you put any...

How does it work and feel compared to Chinesium? I have a $15 brass one that seems to work fine -- wondering if the upgrade is worth it as far as functionality. Of course, I also love a tool that is a joy to use.

I've got a set of these and they're very nice. This week a buddy had his pontoon boat in my shop to strip the old plywood floor off of it... had to be 250 screws, and at least 100 were corroded beyond getting a philips bit to work, so had to be taken out by hand. We had two guys working, so one...
