I hear ya! I'm sure they'll make it right. You can keep the tool too, some people are calling it a feature, others claim no one pushes down on the direction lever. I did working in a tight place because I was having problems, not something that happens often but it happens. In any event the Dual...

The roofers are using battery powered circular saws

It makes perfect sense to me considering it reduces the fall hazard a little, along with accidentally sawing through an electrical cord.

I'd give them a call. They're supposed to have a rebuild kit to address the problem. Let me know what you find out. My dealer installed the kit for a few people and it didn't help. Thanks!

Those pliers are great. Does the ratchet have the free-wheel issue? You can test it by pushing down on the direction lever and see if the anvil spins freely in both directions. How's the back drag on it?

    Brake bleeders come to mind.

    AutoZone review.

When I need something fast I find myself using NAPA more and more now that they opened a store closer to me. I found AAP and AZ near me to have clueless help, understaffed, and longer waiting time. With NAPA I order what I need online, go in pick it up, no long waits, no drama, and better prices.

What are Deep Sockets For? I've Never Needed One

Wow, I use deep sockets a lot. In fact if I didn't have them things like a tune up would be difficult or impossible, along with a ton of other jobs.

Is a thumb wheel ratchet useless?

I use mine and find them useful at times.

    Brake Bleeder Wrenches

I was thinking of buying them, thanks for the write-up, I'll pass now. I've bled brakes as far back as I can remember with the wheels off, I'll probably stick to doing it that way.

    Must have Snap On items?

I have one from an early run with the freewheel problem, and the rebuild kit did not correct the problem. A friend on the West Coast has a newer one which has the freewheel problem as well. I'd love to know when the release that corrects the problem is out.

New Snap On long locking 3/8 ratchets

I'm happy with mine. It doesn't get daily use in a pro environment, but it has come in handy enough times for me to say it was worth it.

What Tools have you Broke? What Caused them to Break?

Drill bits and a cheap flare nut wrench many years ago. I learned a valuable lesson about buying good flare nut wrenches.

Compressor - to drain or not drain?

That is precisely the reason I drain my 60 gallon tank during the winter months. If I lived where it didn't get to freezing I'd leave it charged all year. In any event I manually purge the water as I mentioned earlier. Having a second smaller compressor helps too, if I need to air up tires in...

Compressor - to drain or not drain?

I have two compressors a 60 gallon and a 15 gallon? [I have to check]. The 60 gallon stays charged about 7-8 months out of the year, during which time I drain water from the tank 2-3 times a week. Very little comes out, and with no rust, it is about 8 years old now.. During the cold months I use...
