What can my air compressor do?

Thanks for insight everyone! So it sounds like it's about at capacity to run an impact unless you're really going ********.

What can my air compressor do?

Picked one just like this off of CL a few years back for $150 or something with a hose and dryer. http://www.machinerymax.com/Event/LotDetails/5429447 (DeVilbiss Air America 5hp/20 gal) 7.1 CFM @ 90 PSI and 8.7 @ 40 PSI. I want to start getting more air tools but won't invest in them if this...

    Fond Memories of Sears?

I'm 20 so my memories of it are just in the early 2000s. I remember going in there when I was little with my dad to look around while my mom and sister went to other stores. Always liked spinning the ratchets and imagining what tool set I'd buy and my dad saying "We've already got this stuff"...

I wonder if the Snap-On truck guy will warranty this.

If you're the original owner, they should do it no questions asked! It has flank drive on the edges to really get the broom bristles clean! LOL

    How are Carlyle wrenches?

They have surface drive...kind of an imitation of flank drive.

Best USA pliers for brake caliper retraction

I have some cheapy C clamp I got from Autozone during a brake job, needed an 8" one. Still working fine a few years later! I think the C clamp is easier to do and if you're doing a twin piston caliper, easy to C clamp each and give them the same amount of turns.

Going to great lengths to break tools for warranty

I agree this guy is being a conartist and should be ratted out. But, I disagree that the warranty applies only to the original purchaser. It makes no difference to Matco or whoever if someone buys a new tool from them, then it ends up in someone else's hand. Either way, it's the same tool. Not...

Matco green handle screw driver- w/o matco name

Not really trilobal shaped. I'll get some next time I'm there, usually try to go every few weeks. They've had them for a few years!

Matco green handle screw driver- w/o matco name

    The handles were all green.

Matco green handle screw driver- w/o matco name

I was at a tool surplus store the other day and they had a bin of (allegedly) Matco screw drivers for $2/each. I'm stupid and forgot to take a pic. The handles were a medium to dark green and kind of had the shape of a hand grenade. The handles did not have the Matco name on them. I did a google...

What is your "go to" ratchet.

My Craftsman Premium (or professional, don't remember) 84 tooth 3/8" drive. But I've been playing around with my new HF roto ratchet too. If I need something bigger I use my 1/2" dr. SK.

Pressure washer - nozzle with soap dispenser

I use the lance to put the foam on the car and then use a water bucket and a grit guard to clean the mitt after every panel. Alternate to a two bucket wash.

Help me choose a new socket set

I'd seriously get Pittsbourgh Pro- I have a set of deep well 1/2" metric and they've held up well. I'd expect the same for 3/8" drive set. Taiwan made. If Harbor Freight gives you the chills, I'd do Gearwrench. Not that much more expensive and great quality. Anything more expensive than...

    Old Husky USA ratchet

May as well update this thread...the Husky is doing well! Lives in my toolbox that I keep in the Jeep. Haven't used it much, which I guess could be a good thing. :D For $2, I still think it's a win!
