What if Sears sold ONLY "Made in the USA Craftsman Tools"?

I guess I'm a bit lost here. For anyone who ...I don't know...drives a car or truck, we'll say for example. I have 2. A Nissan built in Tennessee and a Mazda built in Japan. Nothing on any of these vehicles aside from assembly was actually built in house. Let's be real. Electronics...

Ok...I counted the metric side of the house. I have 36 wratchcheting wrenches. different styles, full polish wrenches with tiny teeth on the wrench side, offset course teeth on both ends, simply course teeth on each end and the ones with a small lever. All are nice and made in USA. Best luck...

    Anybody remember these?

I have a set of the metric and SAE of those! I'm thinking they didn't sell. Something I never see at flea markets/garage sales is usually a bad sign. USA made..a good thing.

    Wratcheting wrenches

I happened to be in a Sears last night and found about half the section where tools used to be occupied by lawn furniture. Sad times indeed. I did however, find several ratcheting wrenches half price. I acquired about 14 for around $80. I know...not that great of a deal but with the...

    Cordless drills

I like my 4 Bosch drills, no problems at all. I have a 120V hammer/drill, 18V cordless drill/driver, 18V "screwdriver" (small handle), and 18V impact. Battery life is awesome..in fact I had a defective battery (slim pack) and I called..they sent me the thick pack for free. Battery was under...

    old tool clean up methods

I guess I'm behind the times with the molasses and bead blaster. I use WD-40 and an old towel. Stops & removes rust, and does not appear to hurt the finish. ] Maybe I'll try shave ice... :lol_hitti

    The Tool Roll

I'll usually wipe the inside of the toolbox with WD40. Soak a piece of cardboard with the same and lay in the bottom of the box itself. On top, a layer of felt. If there is a lift out tray, I do the same with it. Even boxes that live in the house get the same treatment. I came up with the idea...

    A Sad Day at Lowes....

Honestly there is no way to stop it. Apex tool bought out Danaher, Crescent and several others. Apparently their business model involves maximum profits and no American jobs. Plain greed brought this on. Collectively I think people today are simply too stupid to know or care. I work with...

Is it o.k. to mix castro dot 3 brake fluid with OEM dot 3 brake fluid?

Brake fluid absorbs water. Open the container, use what you use and toss it the rest. I don't think i'd mix...that's me though. I like to take a marker & date the outside of the container. In the event I need to open it I know how old is.

    PROfessional TOols!

Proto is awesome stuff...I have a bunch. Flea markets, garage sales...even Grainger from time to time will have proto stuff on clearance. I think even amazon has stuff ...buy it...someday it may be made by the chinese prison labor for $2 a month.

Is There Anyone Satisfied With the Amount & Quality of Tools They Have..?

Amen to this. Remember...her sister is hot too. Or at least after a few beers. Enough tools is like the IRS being satisfied with what they take from your paycheck. Never...ever...ever will this be true.

craftsman 43795 tri wing 1/4" ratchet.

They get rusty quick. Then they don't turn. I had a guy I worked with in the past, had the jumbo stanley set...like $99 at costco. One by one, the ratchets died, either stripped out or rusted in place. The remains of the set went in the dumpster one day. That was the end of the...
