    Could be. Thanks!

    What the #%&@ is this?

The top plate seems to be just holding the pieces in place. There are only two plates with holes--the largest two. The screws in the smaller plates do not turn freely, but that may be a function of rust. Hope this narrows it down! Al

    What the #%&@ is this?

Parallels have two identical pieces of each size, these are all one of a kind. Thanks, though.

    What the #%&@ is this?

This came bundled in a bunch of stuff I recently bought, and I've never seen anything like it. It's a wooden block, well made, 9-1/4 x 2-3/4, and contains these 14 slots for strips of steel (one strip is missing). There is a band of brass along one side, and a band of steel on the top. The...

WTF is this? Mystery tool of the week!

This is a Williams USA No. 0-BB. So you would think it would be easy to look up, right? Wrong! I couldn't find a thing! Anyone out there in Garagejournal land ever seen this? Any information or links would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance! Al

Well, I guess I'll have to go with clay tools. Thanks, guys! Al

What the *&+#@ are these odd tools?

They would certainly work for clay modeling, but there are two problems with this: one, the handles are steel, and there would be rust. Two, the clay would get into the ends where the screws are and mess up the works. I think they are for something else, but have no idea what.

What the *&+#@ are these odd tools?

Help! I picked these up recently, and have no idea what they are. My first thought was, of course, dental picks, but the points are somewhat removable, the handle is black steel, and there are too many places for bacteria to become lodged. Anyone have an idea? They are about 7" overall...

    WTF is this odd tool?

Help! I picked this thing up with a load of stuff I bought out of a machine shop, but have never seen anything like it. The base measures roughly 6-1/4 x 4-1/2, it apparently is designed to bolt down onto some sort of bed. The knob feeds the point into whatever it is supposed to feed it into...

    Anyone know what this is?

Gotta be SOMEONE out there that knows...it has me stumped as well, and I know a whole lot about tools!

    Anyone know what this is?

Help! I bought an estate full of tools, they were auto body and blacksmithing, but this odd item was included. It's about 7" long, and solid brass. Any idea what it is or could be used for? Thanks in advance. Al

    What the hell is this?

Hi--recently I purchased a bunch of tools from the estate of a clockmaker/machinist, and this odd thing was in it. The long piece is just over 8" long, the plug thingies are 9/16. The items sparkle, but nothing flakes or comes off, although it looks like it might. No branding or ID of any kind...

    Help with Kobalt ratchet

I would just buy another ratchet off eBay and either keep it, or use it for parts. No one is going to stock parts for that thing. Good luck! Al

Mystery Tool Of The Week! What is this?

This is the first time that the Garage Journal guys have been stumped! Lots of good guesses, no one apparently knows definitely. The gears, BTW, have the same gear size. Looks like I am SOL Oh, well! Off to find another odd and old tool. Thanks for trying, everyone. Al
