    Show your Crown Top Love

I have a few. Here's the biggest. Well, it was the biggest til I got a crown top radial arm saw with cabinet base this morning. I don't have pictures of the saw yet. The last picture is the beginnings of a crown top badge I made.

Metal Cabinets vintage or homemade and no name toolboxes. got any to show please do

Here is my Craftsman metal wall cabinet. It stays open most of the time because I'm always getting something out of it. It does fold up rather small.

    Lets see your workbench

Here is my workbench and its friend. I plan to make more like the small one because I have more of the rough cut 4x4s to make the butcher block top from.

    Craftsman Red/Gray Top Box Restoration

Thanks Ipb. I have done several and used Rustoleum Sunrise Red and Rustoleum Gray Hammered. The colors on the front can fade over time, but when I first began my projects I matched the Rustoleum to the underside of a drawer. I've taken the trim off quite a few drawers. It's just 'pinched...

It won't be THE wall of Craftsman, but it could be called a mini wall I guess. I'll keep posting. Thanks.

    Craftsman Red/Gray Top Box Restoration

Here's where I stand at the moment. 99% of outside paint removed and inside the top sanded well enough to accept primer and paint.

    Craftsman Red/Gray Top Box Restoration

I just realized how many of my tools/things I use on a regular basis are blue-ish. This picture shows some of the stuff I use for cleaning. I always clean all surfaces well (most of the time two scrubs) before doing any sanding. Surface prep is very important as you all know. I don't have...

    Craftsman Red/Gray Top Box Restoration

I'm thinking about starting a poll to see whether or not you guys think I should keep the lock option...... Nahh, I'll just weld a tiny piece of metal onto the top and weld the two screw holes shut. I dented the ends of the slot slightly so my welds would not stand too proud of the top surface...

    Craftsman Red/Gray Top Box Restoration

Well, thanks to Lookn4'67Galaxieconv, I have a new top box. I got it the day before yesterday and have already begun the restoration. I've completed three of these so far, and also 3 rollers. I just recently finished the last roller I had so this was perfect timing. I am expecting a new lock...

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

Seems like you need to go out and find 36 red and gray cabinets/boxes to go with those keys. Nice find! I'll be putting my next top box restoration in a thread soon in case anyone wants to check it out.

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

Hey Car Hobby, Your collection looks great. You don't have your location in listed, but here in GA the red and gray stuff is hard to come by. I have three rollers and three top chests. I have had to scrounge all over to find badges. All of mine don't match either. I have found that...

    Lets see your workbench

Drives, I'm going to need luck with this move. Man, I've collected a lot of stuff in 62 years. I'll post a picture of my bench as it sits today and the smaller, companion bench.

I believe that is maple and will be a nice, hard surface to work on. It looks cool too.
