    Torx vs Tamper Proof Torx?

Anybody have any issues with using tamper proof as a main set? I could see possible cracking issues with a hole in the center, but is it negligible? AAP has a 13pc set of tamper proof's for $2 than a 10pc regular torx.

Not really your typical tool, but still a man tool.....

The more I think about it, I believe your spot on. I assembled the cooker today, and water tested my bird, and I think the cooker is sturdy enough to hold it no problem. I always keep an eye on my temp, so I don't worry about having safety features.

If a built in thermostat deal is indeed what's different, I wouldn't be too worried. I keep my eye on the gauge like a hawk to be honest.

Not really your typical tool, but still a man tool.....

Just bought a cooker stand to be ready for Thanksgiving. Opened it up and noticed on the very first page of the instruction manual it says "NOT for frying turkeys." Is this some type of hogwash they print on there to cover their tail or what? Will try contacting their customer service for an...

    Dewalt 18v XRP Question?

$100 for a drill, impact driver, circular saw, light, charger, few batteries sound good? I don't really have a use in mind for the circular saw, maybe sell it off and only have $50-$60 in the setup?

    Dewalt 18v XRP Question?

    Dewalt 18v XRP Question?

I guy I know just upgraded to the new 20v lithium Dewalt setup. I might can get a shot at purchasing his old stuff. So my question is, is the XRP stuff still current? It would be used more in an automotive environment than carpentry, but basically around the house/shop and nothing professional...

^^^To add to the color question. I understand sometimes there might be some super rare color snap on might release every blue moon, but sometimes a rare color can be good or bad.

We all have more in tools than we would like to admit but, we're talking 40k. If we start adding in diagnostic and general shop equipment then I can see the price start to jump drastically. General hand/air/electric tools, that's a **** load. Leads me to a question. I know I'll never purchase...

Seen this browsing craigslist. Whose got this much money? Wouldn't think an entry level tech could afford this and most veteran techs have what they need. http://greenville.craigslist.org/tls/4179825336.html

    Lathe - Poor surface finish

Just to mimic everybody else, some stuff just doesn't like to make a good finish. Lots of times in a situation like that, a .050 cut will do better than a .005 cut. Just pull out the old belt sander and smooth her up, quick and easy.

    I'm Sorry Craftsman / China....

I think what you people are not realizing is, this is an OLD wrench, it was made in the time of when steel was steel. I work at a gear manufacturing facility. We produce gears ranging from 1/2" up to around 20'. Amazing stuff if you've never been around industrial gearing.
