French hand tools other than facom?

What seems to happen is our (European) companies are bought out by the bigger USA based ones and production moved abroad or to China for profit, and in that move some if not much of what made the companies great is lost.

French hand tools other than facom?

I have a 13mm deep 3/8 drive socket made by Speedrill in France which i found on ebay, it has two magnets in the side wall to hold a nut in place. I think Speedrill is no longer in existence.

    R22 replacement

Assuming its an air con application for the typical USA ducted system, best would probably be R407C but will require POE oil, easiest would be something like R438A as it will work with mineral oil. In either case, adjustment or replacement of the expansion device may be needed plus replacement...

    Tools from the old world

Depends what you are doing with it. Rothenberger Superfire 2 is pretty good, i have brazed 7/8" pipe with it. Side cutter durability

Had some NWS VDE cutters for what must have been over ten years, used most days for service and install work on refrigeration and ac equipment. They had dulled over time but were still serviceable, in the end the joint wore out and the cutting edges didn't line up well. They were only ever used...

    Non-Condensibles (Nitrogen) and Pump down.

You have nitrogen mixed with refrigerant, there is nothing to be gained by taking PT measurements (those measurements are done to try and confirm something that you already know to be correct) The refrigerant/nitrogen mix needs recovering, the whole system evacuating, and the correct factory...
