    Compresser Goop?

If its a single phase motor, check the capacitor is ok, high starting current is classic for a weak capacitor.

    Quincey Air Compressor Keeps Tripping!

Worth checking the capacitors, if they are out of spec the motor will draw more current.

Anyone still use monkey (ford) wrenches on a daily basis?

Have a couple of them, ancient old one that used to belong to my Gran, and a new Facom one, great for refrigeration pipework and fitting. Not a daily user but would not be without them.

    Wrenches: polished vs. satin. pros/cons

Back in the mid 90's when I was buying my first set of tools, mainly Britool, the local tool shop said Britool did two ranges, one shiny for automotive and a one matt finished for industrial users, the theory being that matt tools gave more grip in greasy situations.

Central A/C Compressor to "Silent air compressor"?

Thats a rotary style compressor, the inlet goes straight into the cylinder via the accumulator on the side, the compressor body acts as a muffler/ oil separator for the refrigerant and dischages out the pipe on the top. I would be wary of the possibility of dieseling if used to pump air. In a...

I have a few of them, TP3, MC and Tech LC, I have forgotten what they cost me but still enjoy the usefulness. Few of the pockets don't suit what i want to store in them but have overcome that by putting cut down plastic bottles/tubs in the pockets so that spanners etc will stay stood up without...

Using power tools from US in the UK

You'd want an extension cable/lead with four US sockets (or however many chargers you want to plug in) then cut the US plug off and fit a 110V round pin plug, the type that fits 240 to 110 transformers that are used on construction sites here and said transformer. I got a Porter Cable 12v drill...

AC - Choosing a dual 134a/12 gauge set

I'd get a separate set for each gas, the PAG oil used in R134a systems can be sensitive to contamination (e.g. mineral oil from R12 systems). I'd say the Yellow Jacket are slightly better quality, plus I think the spares availability would be better for the Yellow Jacket.
