    Hole saw recs?

😁 I'm getting comfortable being out of work. Still about 10 weeks until cleared. Thinking of all these little projects to keep me occupied.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-Hole-Dozer-Bi-Metal-Hole-Saw-Kit-8-Piece-49-22-4019/315101662 This kit's on sale at HD. Looks like it would suit my needs. The bit sizes would be perfect and I can always get individual sizes when I need bigger. Made in USA.

    Hole saw recs?

That would be my preferred method but it's a 200# computer desk that just fits in my location. I basically had to assemble it in place but it's in the perfect spot. Can't move anything heavy after surgery, either.

    Hole saw recs?

More than one-time but certainly not a weekly need. Figured I'd buy my own decent set for any future needs. I'd rather buy decent quality once and be set.

    Hole saw recs?

Thanks, cgrutt. A buddy will lend me his kit if I ask but I could see me needing my own for the future. Figured at my age and use, it will be a one-time purchase.

    Hole saw recs?

I have a bunch of spade bits that only go up to 1" and I want to drill a few 2" holes in a MDF computer desk. Specifically the back panel to route power plugs and other cables. I could just cut off the plugs and attach a new plug after running the wires through but that would void my warranty on...

    Milwaukee tool cart

Have you ever used https://slickdeals.net/ ? A buddy told me about them years ago and, if you don't need stuff right away, it might help you score a great price.

"Times do changes, and I see the purpose and enjoy LEDs, just not every application in the house AND not having the change forced upon us." Agree with this, as well.

    Lightbulbs….

One thing I've noticed is the peace of mind that most of those people have. They're not worried about foreclosures, job stresses, prices on EVERYTHING, washer/dryer warranties, which TV to get, etc, etc, etc. I'm in no way saying that lifestyle is easy; far from it. It's just that they seem...

    Lightbulbs….

This is one of the reasons that I admire those who are off-the-grid. They have the skills, energy and toughness to exist and thrive in a non-corporate environment. They don't really think about planned obsolescence. Sometimes I feel the easier our lives get, the harder our lives become.

    Bathroom subfloor materials

That looks fantastic! And I really appreciate the offer of assistance; I just want to ensure this job goes correctly because I'd hate to re-do it in 10 years due to water damage or a crappy install.

    Bathroom subfloor materials

I appreciate your experience as a contractor. I'm just in the learning phase so all information is welcome. I'm going to have the remodel done professionally as I don't have the experience nor am I physically able to crouch down and set/grout tiles due to arthritis and other joint issues. I've...

    Bathroom subfloor materials

Should also mention that I am contemplating a shower/tub surround. With 4 people constantly taking showers (we only have 1 bathroom), I'm trying to minimize grout cracking and water penetration points.
