    Fairmount Tools

I've been watching for one of those for years to have around just in case, but whenever I stumble on one, the seller thinks it made outa gold....

    Artisan toolbox find

Got a steam threshing/tractor show fix Sat at Meriden, KS and lucked into a mix n' match toolbox that I was waffling on (don't really NEED any more tool boxlots but...) until I closed the lid and saw the brand plate - can't recall ever seeing an Artisan box in the wild. The Artisan ratchet is...

    Montgomery Ward speed master

Recently fished some misc Wardmast'r & Speedmaster outa the 'bay. Not only did I get a couple of ratchet variations I didn't have, the Wardmast'r sockets filled out a smaller sized set of Wright-sourced Billings already in the boxes. Really like the heft of Wright sockets, would be thrilled to...

The Ratchet Triple, Quad, Quint or More Thread

More Kilness patent ratchets, Husky -43 & -45, and Challenger Proto (IMHO patent def under Stanley ownership when the Challengers came out):

The Ratchet Triple, Quad, Quint or More Thread

Yep, there are Mustang 1/4 inchers, just not as common to find. Unfortunately many 1/4" versions of triple plays have been harder to come by, I just recently broke 200 1/4" ratchets, with 300+ each 3/8" and 1/2". Could be that Mustang 1/4" ratchets were offered as separate add-ons to the basic...

The Ratchet Triple, Quad, Quint or More Thread

Giving the thread a boost back to the front page - realized I haven't posted any of my Triple Plays. Will try not to repeat any that have already been posted. Crappy Phone Pics of Easco classic pear heads and round head plastic grips along with both RHFT - QR and non:

Everyone has an angle! Show us your angle wrenches!

I'm right there with ya Lugs, my Macs date back at least 30 years and Mac has a long history (pre-Stanley) of sourcing tools from other manufacturers.

Everyone has an angle! Show us your angle wrenches!

Yup, got an odd Fairmount or two floating around somewhere that match up. AIR, my metric Mac set appear identical as well, although haven't dug them out side-by-side in awhile.

My SAE set of Martins I fished out of the bay like new some years ago (11/32-1 1/8):

    Vulcan tools

One of two Vulcan ratchets I've got (so far), the other is an M-56 1/4" that been soaking to clean up before reassembly. Vulcan's are easy to slip past thinking they're Williams (which I have several) without checking the brand. Always keep an extra eye out for them, but not much joy.

    Mystery Ratchets??

3, 5, and 6 pt shifter cap round head ratchets made by Duro/Indestro can be found relatively easily, haven't seen a 6 pt branded Wizard yet, but the 3 & 5 pt versions are all over. Less seen ones (so far) are PowrKraft 100, Wardmast'r, and Westcraft. Wouldn't be surprised to see other cap...

    Ratchet collection

Well that's maybe the 3rd or 4th Wix I've ever seen, including mine. And the 2nd Herbrand Speedratchet has been on my Wanna list for years - list/sell for stupid money on fleabay so will likely remain there for a long time until I stumble on one in the wild (got the earlier version at an local...

The One Tool You Cannot Have Too Many Of

Wow, the most obvious answer almost nobody's had - ratchets, ratchets, and more ratchets! Just like the Spanish Inquisition, NOBODY EXPECTS too many ratchets!! 9 drawers above just like the open bottom one (four 3/8", six 1/2") plus one in another stack full of 1/4", plus well over a 100...

    fatfillup is an obsession enabler.....

So I found myself back in the old home state of Maryland for a convention this week in Baltimore (that's Bawlmr in local-ese) and the siren-song of fatfillup's tool emporium was faaaaaar too strong and easily defeated my feeble attempts at resistance. After spending a good couple+ hours...

    The Ratchet Collection Thread

Well I'll give you a big 'ol hearty "YOU ****!" (y) for getting such a great buy back then, that's the only way I'll ever end up with one as well. I've had those couple of P&C Space-Lite rats on my watchlist for awhile just for sh!ts 'n giggles - 3 figures for a ratchet is farrrrr beyond...
