    Wall Convering OSB + ?

I called around, theres a local yard that stocks it in 7/16 at 41.50 a sheet. Otherwise it looks like my local Menards has it in 7/16 at $35 but is special order.

    Wall Convering OSB + ?

Hmm, didn't know they made 10' osb. I knew they did in drywall. That might be the ticket. I've got a unisaw I can rig up to cut them in half. Thanks

    Wall Convering OSB + ?

I'm going to be covering the walls in my outbuilding with OSB, but from the top of the stem wall to the ceiling it is 5'. I can use the 4x8 sheets horizontally, and rip 1' sections to fill the gap, but is there something that would look better, kind of like a kick plate on top of the stem wall?

    Tree Advice

I’d be nervous of the split stem rotting trunk myself. If it were me I’d find the best arborist in the area and have them look at it. There are a lot of stresses during a wind storm and I’ve seen a lot of trees get split right at that crotch and rot doesn’t help. Around me I’ve seen them...

    Fire Pit suggestions

Here are a few things to narrow down...if you care about code each version will most likely have a different distance requirement from any permanent structure. Most areas around me are 30’ for open wood burning. Built in or moveable pit? Wood or gas?

Backfilling a wet muddy garage foundation trench

I agree, uncovered will help settle the fill, which is what you’re trying to accomplish at this point.

Backfilling a wet muddy garage foundation trench

I still don’t understand how creating a dry well against the outside foundation is a good thing. No, the weight of the tarp is not compacting anything.

How to selling a house with a large garage

I looked at a property 5 years ago with a nice shop, but the selling agent didn’t know anything about it and some of it was cobbled together. I didn’t want someone else’s project so I just moved on. As a buyer, a separate flyer/book on the shop during viewings would help. I’d plan on putting...

How to selling a house with a large garage

Appraisal becomes a problem if the prospective buyer needs financing. Otherwise, yes, a property is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Best gravel material for a sloping driveway?

If you have wash out spots you could fill them with something larger. But for my house I’ve used 1” down for drive and parking area. I’ve used the DOT spec stuff lately, it’s more consistent gravel to fines. There was a non spec pile of 1” down, but it had too many fines in it.

tool hoarders? polishers? i dont get it

You priced a new bullet vise lately. Not exactly cheap. Who cares if someone spends the time to paint them and sell them. It’s called a hobby. They might even enjoy talking with people who call inquiring about a nicely restored vise. I have many chainsaws, some would be considered...
