    Ultra-smooth combination ratcheting wrenches?

I like my Armstrong reversibles. They aren't well known in my shop, so they tend not to walk off like any of the truck brands do. I think they are like 60 tooth, but could be higher. Not as cheap as Gearwrench though

New Armstrong Maxx 3/8" or USED Snap-On FX80?

The ones from Harry Epstein are 88 tooth. I ordered one about 2 months ago, and love it, maybe even more than my Snap-On Dual 80's. I find myself wishing they offered a soft or hard handled option, i'd be inclined to switch to Armstrong across the board, and bring my Snap-On's home.

    Metric or SAE

^This Every Armstrong or Proto tool I own rivals the Snap-On that i've paid out the nose for, for 35-50% the cost, and I learned this the hard way. ( I do wrench for a living and have a regular Snap-On driver)

    Starting to Catch Vise Fever

I'd pass on that one. Generic looking made in china sticker makes me think low quality.

    matco impact swivels FYI

The pinless impact universals I believe are made by Armstrong. I don't have any Matco's to compare to my Armstrongs, but they're pretty much the only pinless one's i've ever seen, so unless they switch suppliers, I believe they'll remain US made forever.

Where do you keep your crowsfeet?

I keep mine in my specialty/ratchet wrench drawer, on a rail, with my flare nut and ratchet wrenches.

    what good is this?

Sad thing is, I do not own one, nor have I ever used one. Only reason I know is because there is one hanging on the wall on the Snap-On truck, i've seen it once a week for over a year, so its kinda burned into my mind LOL

    what good is this?

Its a Lisle #13800, GM Ecotec water pump sprocket holder, holds the timing chain and gear in place while removing or installing water pump on Ecotec engines. Holds the water pump sprocket preventing loss of timing or damage to the engine. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001C6LDHU/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    your best score of 2012

I've found quite a few good deals, but I think my best one this year mighta been the KRL7022 I picked up for $2000, but some good smalls are an Armstrong 1/2 drive deep impact SAE set 1/2 to 9/16 for $35, Wright shallow and deep 1/2 drive SAE 12pt 3/8 to 1-1/8 for $100, Blackhawk 1/2 drive SAE...

    Should i buy these?

Quick google search for an Armstrong 12pt impact set found this http://www.wylaco.com/Armstrong-20-660-14pc-SAE-Half-inch-Drive-12pt-Black-Fractional-Deep-Socket-Set They have the shallow set for about $10 less also. I figure you need metric and I'm on my phone so finding them is a bit of work...

    Should i buy these?

Lot of 12pt used in driveline applications or at least Ford, which is what I work on. If I needed them right away, I'd get a cheap set of chromes to get by with, and not be afraid of occasional impact use in a pinch (I know, bad juju, please don't flame me) and seek out an Armstrong 12pt impact...

    Solder or Crimp?

^This. I love the Snap On PWCS7 for AWG 14-22, use it everyday. I work for a service truck upfitter so a lot of in cab/under dash/engine bay close quarters work, and they make it a breeze. All we use is insulated crimps with 3M heat shrink tubing on both wire to wire and terminals. We only use...

    Snap-On F830???

Well, if you go to snap on's website, and search F830, since that model isn't offered anymore, it takes you to the current equivalent, F80, and that's where the error comes in, me thinks.
