    Snap-On FSLF/TSLF ratchets...

^Cool deal! I was hoping I wasn't seeing things. BTW, if anyone reading this thread has a spare TSLF they wouldn't mind letting go for a REASONABLE (not eBay pie-in-the-sky) price, PM me. I'm really starting to miss mine.

    Snap-On FSLF/TSLF ratchets...

Nice tool drawer ****! In the above photo, does the top TSLF (2nd ratchet down) have a "3/8 in a 1/4 body" head, or am I seeing things?

    Snap-On FSLF/TSLF ratchets...

I think BK was referring to IF they brought them back with the 80/72 option, he'd buy 1 or 2. You're correct that they never offered the option. I did the swap you mentioned with mine, as pictured above. I'd really like to see S/O bring these back as there is demand out there, but I've...

Tell me about this Matco box/cart...

That's a good deal. If I were in your shoes, it'd be in the truck already. You can't touch a used one in my area under $450, hence why I haven't picked one up yet. FWIW, I had to settle for the 5-drawer HF cart, and while it's a good cart and will get me by, I still really miss the Matco.

Tell me about this Matco box/cart...

I used to have a Matco 4-drawer cart like that one, myself and everyone I know that had one really loved it. I've tried looking for another one, in fact, but to no avail (at least in my area). As far as price goes, I'd say in the $3-400 range depending on your location.

    Show your new tool arrivals

I found an old set of Channellocks that same way on a customer car once, they had no idea where they came from. Another time a customer came in with a leak and it ended up being half of a set of pliers.

What are your MUST HAVE mechanic tools?

This. I have an old S/O CP3A (the one with the twisted end), and it removes metal u-clips on cowl panels and such better than anything I've ever found. Slide it in, give a little twist- done.

    Snap-On FSLF/TSLF ratchets...

It's good to hear I'm not the only one. They're one of those tools that seems like a strange idea until you actually start using them, and then you don't want to use anything else. KM, your ratchet drawer is awesome!

    Snap-On FSLF/TSLF ratchets...

Does anyone here on GJ still using these as much as I do? I find myself reaching for my FSLF more and more for home projects, and it's been really good to me. I had a TSLF as well, but I misplaced it a few years ago and I haven't been able to pick another one up since they seem to be made of...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Went to HF and picked up a US General 30" 5-drawer tool cart, based upon seeing recommendations when I searched here. Just got done putting it together, and I'm really surprised- it seems like a solid piece and a really nice bargain for the price I paid. I've had my share of nice Snap-on boxes...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Worse are the newer ones with the plastic clips you have to unfold the little tab on before pushing them out... I've had one or two break on me due to age- it is plastic after all, and Ford didn't offer the clips separately, so a new fuel line was the only option.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I painted the walls of my garage today after a month of having moved in here. I don't have any before pics, but the walls were scraped/scuffed to hell. Paint was Valspar, top was called Lilac Muse, bottom is Silver Leaf:

Hello! I've been lurking on this site for a few months now in preparation for my new garage/place, and now that we've finally closed on it I figured I'd actually register. I've learned a lot so far, and I'm looking forward to learning a lot more! Now, a little about my new garage- It's only a...
